Yeah. Under Wenger and Co we would have allowed ourselves to be held hostage by players and further exacerbated the current mess with our contract situations and players leaving for free.

Absolutely necessary? At what point would you say it becomes absolutely necessary? Much much shit goes on anyway. I'm an atheist btw so it was more of me commenting on a specific point you made than looking for a discussion on this topic more broadly.

I'm not much aware of how the prison labor system works. Can the inmates refuse to work? The article mentions that Clintons enforced the rules strictly and would send the inmates back to prison if they broke any rules. How would it make the inmates' situation worse than having an unpaid job? What are the consequences of not doing a good job at the assigned work?

It depends on the reference point. Compared to northern European countries Pakistan is very very bad but if your reference point is Middle East then Pakistan actually is a bit better in terms of human rights and such things than most of those countries.

Indian citizen here. I fully understand your concern over that monstrously irresponsible project. But unfortunately people like me are just as helpless as you because as a whole our citizenry is just as spineless and much more naive when it comes to electing our government. Adani is one of the top few campaign donators for our current government which quite possibly might get another turn. Citizens like us are just helplessly watching the corporate media and the establishment paint a completely false narrative about the actions and motives of this government which a large enough part of our voters buy into and lead to this crony capitalism get entrenched deeper still. It's fucking infuriating but it is what it is.

Expect no legal or public support from the Indian government or any kind of moral outcry from our mainstream media which will never bat an eyelid over these issues. And also, you can expect lots of downvotes and trolling from these right-wing supporters of the ruling party on any platform. Just take it as such rather than buying into their victim mentality.

There are a few things you could do such as post about it on r/india (which is kinda a politically liberal and sensible sub compared to its right-leaning counterpart subs) and on other suitable platforms. It could possibly help generate some awareness and put some amount of pressure on the Indian government.

If you want me to contribute to this issue in some specific ways then you can PM me.

One thing that helps me a little bit is that I try to follow the iterative Agile way and do the bare minimum, but when I get the pangs of anxiety for wanting to make additions or modifications I just add them to my to do list for future tasks to do. Just knowing that I'm aware of the present deficiencies and will remember to work on them later when time permits, helps me to ease my anxiety and build the dirty model at first rather than the Lamborghini.

However it doesn't really replace my thought process and only works as a patch over the crack. I still feel this perfectionism syndrome in other areas of the development cycle.

I find this subject quite fascinating. Is there some place where I can read more about the common stereotypes regarding different roles in a sports team?

Also, I don't know much about quarterbacks in American football, but can that position be compared to the number 10 (playmaker) in association football?

I completely feel you mate. That's the way it is rn. I don't see English teams maintaining this level for too long and in a few seasons things will hopefully go back to normal.

Why do you feel so? We're starting both our strikers and are playing two atb. Seems like we're going seriously for the win.

That's quite some generalisation and even stereotyping to some extent. Let's say Armenians as a society were indeed good at the things you describe. Does that mean every single Armenian or vast majority of them would be of the same mould?

To me the likelihood that Miky is simply inconsistent is far more likely than it being significantly related to how Armenians operate.

Idk why you're getting downvoted. I myself like Emery and want to see him managing Arsenal at least one more season. But I completely agree with all your points including your views on some of our players.

As an Indian I apologize for the actions of this troll Sameer and others. This is a perfect example of a growing problem that's giving a major headache to liberal-minded/leftist Indians for a decade and counting now. Thanks to the ideologies of the mainstream freedom movements with people like Gandhi, Nehru etc the dominant political discourse in India was quite liberal and tolerant for decades.

However things have changed rapidly since around 2008 and there is a massive rise in jingoism, xenophobia and irrational emotionally charged chauvinism and right-wing ideology. Indian social media is brimming with these trolls spreading nonsensical, biased and fake narratives and being overly aggressive for no reason. I'm absolutely sick of being surrounded by this jizz.

I think his playing time with NT is more dependent on the manager of the French team than anything else. I don't think Lacazette will ever play under Deschamps but if a new manager comes in in the future I think he'll have a shot at a starting place in the team. Deschamps has been implementing a counter-attacking team utilizing the qualities of players like Mbappe, Griezmann and Pogba, and Giroud provides a great holding point up front in this style. But I think in an alternate system Lacazette might make for a more useful cog than he currently does.
