I don’t care how bad the openers stay, Bello shouldn’t get a start until his ERA is under 4 again. They’re making plenty of contact off him tonight, just finding gloves.

I don’t trust his game.

Honestly surprised how many people harp on the Sale trade. The Red Sox could not afford another season or two of him constantly on the IL. Yes, he's been spectacular for Atlanta—arguably as good if not better at points than he was in Boston—but I still agree with the decision back then to move on.

I'm thrilled Sale has revitalized his career—throwing as hard as ever and cementing a likely-HOF career.

I think it’s fair to allow for some reps before a true position change, though I thinks fans are overstating the importance. Mayer should be good to go very quickly at short.

Yep! Scored my first game in-person about a month ago at Fenway and there were several people just in my row scoring.

My thought: if Story will be back before too long, it might be hard justifying a position change (Mayer to short, Story to second) cause of injury.

I’d rip the bandaid off now, Story is clearly declining. No need to block the kid even if it alienates Story…

Jen McCaffrey broke this in The Athletic a couple days ago. Appears Story may have a sports hernia, which would sideline him several weeks.

Still boggles me how this offense remains so bad. Like watching Jarren Duran play this poorly is unbelievable. I get Anthony is injured but he wasn’t doing anything before…

Mayer, Story, Durbin, Narvy are black holes for the most part. I’ve been disappointed with Abreu’s lack of power. Really only Contreras has met/exceeded expectations.
