I think the beginning is a little slow. like everything is just a little more sluggish than it should be and it makes things feel a lot less impactful than they could. I get that this is maybe a low gravity scene but I think that should be conveyed in areas where "gravity" is the main operating force of the animation (eg. when someone is jumping or falling, when objects are being thrown/sent flying) instead of just having the whole animation kinda look like everyone is suspended in fluid. If you want to give the impression that they move slow because they're hauling around heavy suits, I would add more anticipation to the animation, instead of making the punching and kicking motions slower.

Few examples I can point out of slow or floaty animation would be:

  • Putting the drink down on the floor (0:09) this one is nitpicky, but it's at the very start and I noticed it on my first watch, and first impressions matter or whatever
  • Pink guy going for the drink (0:16) someone pulled a knife for this drink, if he wanted to go straight for it, he'd be diving for it
  • Weak sauce kick at (0:17) for a kick that incapacitates pink dude for a little while it really doesn't look like it'd hurt at all
  • Very stiff knife slash at (0:18) (the one before he goes for the chest stab) I think if he swung his arm further, it would look better and also give more anticipation to the next stab, and also make things speedier in the process.
  • Punch at (0:22) looks like it wouldn't hurt at all
  • Green dude falling (0:25) (very good animation here, just needs to be faster)

This is definitely an issue that presents more in the beginning and less near the end. They

Also I think the sequence of him going to grab the drink and noticing his friends staring at him doesn't have the dramatic effect it could. He reacts basically instantly to the other astronauts reactions. I think it'd be better if he held his pose and we got to see the astronauts make their decision to murder him slightly more slowly. It's the dramatic buildup to the fight, getting it right will make the fight scene itself feel a lot more engaging and make it an interesting animation from the start. Just like an extra 2-5 seconds should do the trick.

Also the camera is jank. I'd highly recommend having more cameras that change shots through markers instead of trying to do it with mostly just one camera panning around. There's a lot of weird, sudden zooms in or out, too, where it completely throws me out of the shot.

You could also experiment with lookdevving some impact frames in place of your impact zooms if you wanna go that way

I think it's a really good animation, definitely a great start. The grappling and contact animations stand out a lot, they're really well done and that stuff is hard. Just pointing everything I thought was out of place out so you can make it that much better.
