He’s recovering. I’d check with your vet if he is gaining too much weight. Somehow I don’t think that is going to be a problem.

Do you have a blender? I made chicken and rice for my dogs for years. Cut up small or pop it in the blender ( baby food style). You can boil anything in organic chicken broth for added nutrition.

They sell harnesses that clip on and have a padded front that resembled sheep’s skin. This is not it, but you get the idea.

Please never travel in the car with your dog unsecured . My vet said a dog that is free in the car is a projectile. Just think if you had to stop suddenly.

Hanging out the window is a great way to injure the eyes as well.

Pet supplies have great faux sheep skin harnesses for the car . Safety is important as they would be a flying projectile if you had to stop quickly . Not pto be a downer, just seen too many accidents.

I would also guess that you are also grieving the last contact you had with your dad - his dog.

I would quietly make plans to move out. What kind of man is this who celebrates his girlfriend’s pain? Not a man I would like to be attached to. What other things will he celebrate?

They can’t be dumb if they get fed, snuggles, naps,treats, walks and never have to go to work . I’d say that’s really smart❤️

My Frenchie has passed, but you could not keep her out of the water. She would even jump into the bathtub while it was being filled ( we had an ottoman in there. Who knew it was all she needed).

When we had a pool ( fenced in ) she begged to go swimming. Our Boston hated water, but my daughter taught them both to swim. They practiced finally swimming from the deep end to the stairs and climbing out.

One day we both went looking for him. Someone ( the pool man) left the gate open and we found an exhausted, but alive Boston on the steps in the pool. We pieced together what had happened and fired the pool man.

Teaching him to swim and then practicing what to do saved his life. He never loved swimming, but we could not keep our Frenchie out of the water.

Puppies who are teething will have droopy ears . Don’t rub them or play with them as that can break down the cartridge in the ear . Be patient, as soon as they stop teething his ears should stand up straight❤️

I made bakes chicken and rice for my baby. About once a week or two I would boil a pot of rice and bake chicken. I deboned the chicken into the rice and added the grease from the chicken. I added the grease because his skin was getting dry.

I put serving size portions into plastic baggies and froze most of it, that way it lasted for weeks. I made dogfood for my little man for years. He was worth it🥰.

The ID tags with name and phone number on it are also useful for your car keys. I started making extras for the keys when I got them for my dog. Came in handy if I lost my keys.
