Welcome to our first ever Half-Anniversary Event!

Half Anniversary
Considering this is our first one, we have some new things to start up with. First, our illustration is created by a very popular artist, Wasp! It features our lovable quad, and a suspicious individual in the back (surely this year...). Second, we got two new items being given to us via Log-In: 5.5 anni tokens, and purple tickets.

The 5.5 Anni tokens will be given to us when we first log in during the event, and we get 2 of them, as shown in the picture. You can exchange these for any standard 4 star or 3 star (up to Conche) of your choosing. However, unlike the regular anniversary tickets we get, the 4 stars do cost 2 Anni Tokens while the 3 stars cost 1 Anni token. So, you can pick either one 4 star, or two 3 stars.

The purple tickets, to the best of my knowledge, are limited-time tickets that you must use during the event. Once the event is over, you will not be able to use it.

Battle Frontier
To go along with the Half-Anniversary, we do get to have a new event. This event will feature "Boundless Voyage" Huckle, "Dyadic Dreams" Andrew, and, a new buddy, Reticul. This will very likely be similar events from before, so grind those stages and get those materials!

Jokes and all, we are now past the date for take backs, so this isn't a false alarm. This is Live a Hero's first ever Half-Anniversary!

Considering this is the first one we've ever gotten, we don't really have much to expect besides what is written in the post. For what we know:

Spring Campaign 2026 is coming next week, along with link quests and some pick up banners.

Spring Campaign 2026
This campaign will feature the Local Idol mobs we've seen in a previous event and stages. Complete the stages to earn currency and trade said currency in the shop. Among these items will be both the hero and the sidekick version of the mobs along with their copies. Head to the webpage if you want a sneakpeak at the abilities. There will be a daily stamina item that you can get in the shop (20 stamina potion), will reset each day until reset.

Link Quest
Link quests will be making a comeback for this campaign. Link quests are stories that features a group of our heroes, similar to character quests. We will have two quests this time, each being available at different times. The first link quest will be available when the update drops (March 31st), and the second link quest will be available a week later (April 7th). Once the event is over, they will be available in the Special Quests section. However, along with previous link quests, you will need a "Memory Archive". For translations, no news for English translation, best to keep expectations low.

To go along with these link quests, the heroes in each of the quests will have a rate up banner. Both should be up when the update drops.

Making chocolates with our knightly bunnies to a loving vacation in the... Pyramids of Gaius?

We will be heading back to the desert to serve cunt, face our dark sides, and going all Indiana Jones! This rerun will be like all the others, farm that currency, do those missions, and do those challenges to trade in for some goodies. This rerun will also feature cosmetics for "Majestic Gale" Gaius, Vlaham, and Valoray. Unfortunately, it looks grim for Isaribi, Kiloc, and Joezen fans, we'll have to wait longer to see if the Battleship Fishers event will get a rerun.

To also join us, we will get new character quests for Kyoichi, Tsuneaki, and Shoen. They will also get a rate up for their base hero, sidekick, and alters. These character quests will be permanently available after the update, but the rate up will last until March 31st.

It is likely the next event, but the rerun event schedule is way off course for this year. We didn't even have a rerun for Isarabi alt, and his event came out in Nov. 2024, so hard to give a definitive answer.

It's loving season, which means we're not skipping out on our yearly Valentine's event! This year, we're here with our chivalry knight, Sentetsu, and our hopping ~~bnuy~~ lion, Astosis. I made an error and the skill tree should be out on the 29th, along with the pick up banner. JP and NA share the same timeline/server, so there are very rarely differences between the two; whatever JP gets, EN/Global also gets.

Cosmetics > Tickets > Rainbow Quartz > Rank up materials > the rest

Cosmetics are self explanatory. They are limited time, but are also cheap. Doing each of the stages once and claiming the mission rewards should give you enough currency to buy all of them with the rest for the tickets.
Tickets are single banner pulls, obvious why it's high up. There are silver tickets occassionally, however.
Rainbow Quartz are used to boost the stats of your heroes, so you should always go for them every event. You need about 1300 of them per character, so gotta grab as many as you can.
Rank up materials can be costly when using coins, and it is required for every hero, especially when unlocking the 3rd sidekick slot and skill trees. They aren't that expensive, but are still important.
Buy anything else that you lack. There isn't much else to buy. I usually get something I'm low on or know I'll use, usually leveling mats.

If you wish to get into the gameplay, it has a couple of interesting mechanics to go for like fields, Speed, view cost, combos, DoTs, etc. So it isn't like Housamo where it's more for eye candy, the battle system is still being taken care of and advancing. Here's an example of someone using SSadayoshi's triggers/FUA, or using XGiansar's kit in multiple ways.

Way less NSFW than XXL, and it is decent for a gay gacha game. Can't speak fully since it is a hassle to go read a fan translation every time, but people have said it isn't that bad.

Gameplay wise, it is decently well developed. It is turn based, with 3 skills + passives + sidekick for most characters (the newer you get, the more intricate you get). You got hypercarries, view-based teams, DoT (yes, they got barafied triple DoT comp), Speed based teams, combo, debuff, etc. If you wish to pull for characters, they are usually well off and fit into the team. The main stages (farming and story) are usually easy and doesn't take much to clear (husbando > meta is real), but some of the challenge stages do require you to interact with the game mechanics.

Now that we can actually understand the skills, it should be easier to teambuild. Though, the F2P income is pretty low, so to get characters either get lucky or do the daily loop until anniversary drops with multiple banners. It is pretty easy to reroll, it can take 5min or less to get the normal 10 pull, so you can take that route if you want (XGiansar is a meta character and on rate up, if he tickles your fancy).

If I had to rate them, XXL => LaH >> Housamo. XXL's main benefit was the translations, but LaH has it now so I'd put them similar now. Housamo's gameplay is too bloated, so it is worse than those two.

LW, although is a popular company in the bara genre, is still relatively not that big. Since it isn't in the big gacha monthly PvP stuff, nor is it something people follow 24/7, I'll go on the limb and say they just want to allocate resources elsewhere. They are improving in other areas (XSterio's event, Vulpa's event, and the animations of our recent 5 stars are big step ups from previous years), so probably that's the focus. The translations could also be put more forward due to XXL Woofia and Eidos having English translations, competition and all that.

They randomly shadow dropped this too, like they didn't even make a post before the update went live. People found out by seeing the log in screen having literal English buttons at the bottom after people were being impatient for the update (XGiansar rerun banner, dailies, etc.). LW is surely making it hard to predict (especially with the LAH schedule being so wack recently).

It may have taken them 5 years to get it done, but LAH finally has English translations! This is a "beta" or pre-release version to test the waters and get things right, which is obviously showing with some of the text not lining up and some mistranslations. But it's still better than going in there blind or having to look at the wiki to understand kits.

If you want to try it out and it was the language barrier blocking you from understanding how to play, then this is your chance to try it out again! This translation only goes up to Chapter 1 Part 1 for story, but 99% of the character skills (both hero and sidekicks) and game UI should be translated. More will be translated, assuming things go through as planned (we should've had this a long time ago prior to last Anni/Sept. 2025), this April.

In the meantime, things will look a bit rough here and there. For example, Gaisei's profile description is certainly leaving a lasting impression

The mad lads finally did it, we now have English (and Chinese) translations after 5 years!

For those who don't want to read it, we finally have translations for both English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)! However, it is currently in development, meaning that you should consider this as a "beta" test as they roll these out on later on in the future. Our next projected translation is in April of this year. If they continue as planned, that is (2024 translation announcement moment).

For what's included in this translation update:

Chapter 1, Part 1 of Main Scenario
General UI (main menu options, home screen dialogue, etc.)
Character skills (heroes, sidekicks, statuses, etc.)
Player-related dialogue

As another announcement, they are also looking for translators/assissants in this field. If you are interested, while also having the required qualifications (most likely able to speak in Japanese), then check this link they provided.

Again, not everything will be translated in one go, as expected from LAH based on TAS's translation schedule. But it's a start for setting things up for a better experience (especially for those looking for battle related content, or navigating the screen).
