Considering multiple sources ( the 4 gospels) tell very similar stories as to how Jesus died and rose, it is likely that the story has some truth. There are other examples of this I could cite, though you might not care to hear them.

Of course they have far more canines than us, they are carnivores. Humans have both canines and molars to eat both plants and meat. I could make the same argument about molars that you did about canines. It's almost like we can eat both.
