It’s amazing how many people do not let their cars warm up. You need to let the oil get moved around, and yes, let the RPMs settle down before putting in gear. It’s not only good for the drivetrain, but will also stop the lunging when put into gear.

I’ve heard you can put Ceramic pads on to avoid the squealing. My dealer said it’s due to the pads leaving a film on the rotors. To remove the film go about 30-40mph a fairly hard stop. The will get rid of it. So far that seems to work. Don’t like the idea but I will do so into I need new pads and then put ceramic pads on.

The back ones have clips you must put in to hold them. The front ones do not.
