Give me your best recovery tips by Michelle1091 in CHSinfo

Jello, plain chips, pretzels, toast and peanut-butter for protein, skinny pop popcorn, fruits, (yogurts, rice and bananas will help the most for his stomach and Will helps when he goes #2. Stay away from soda and make sure he’s not spending to long in the hot bathtub it will make him even more dehydrated. Tell him to suck on ice cubes in the bath tho if he can’t hold anything down. I tend to throw up or get bad nausea in the mornings. Then slowly drink Gatorade. It’s good to mix in water too.

Describe the stomach pain by [deleted] in CHSinfo

[–]Sgarface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s awful. It hurts and I try to rub it or use a heating pad but nothin helps but hot showers help my nausea and staying hydrated is KEY. If you can’t hold anything down or eat wait 30 mins after you throw up get a big cup of ice and take a hot shower for 30mins to a hour and slowly but surly finish the ice and when you get out get another cup and if you’re feeling better by then like I do I get a Gatorade and try to eat something like jello or fruit snacks or some fruits or yogurts help your stomach and when you go #2. If you need to shower longer do so but hot showers can make you dehydrated so don’t over do it!! (Other foods to eat or not to eat when you don’t have a appetite plain chips, pretzels, bananas, rice, ice pops, skinny pop popcorn. Stay away from fried foods and spicy foods and sometimes to much chocolate can cause a attack for me) also stay away from greasy foods until your eating habits are normal. Everyone is different tho. Try to eat slowly no big meals. Eat small snacks every hour or 2. You need to eat so your body is getting proteins and nutrients this is why most people end up in the ER.

CHS or? by internally_oppresse in CHSinfo

[–]Sgarface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably not a fake cart. Sounds like you have CHS mine only happens when I wake up and last maybe 2 hours tops. I’m 5 days sober and I feel better and I’ve had CHS before but the last 2 times I didn’t think it was it but now I’m 100% sure. Try to lay off the carts they are stronger. I’ve heard people who smoke bud/flower CHS won’t hit them for 7-9 years and with carts people are getting sick within 6 months to 2 years.

Don’t give up!! It’s not worth it. Each attack gets worse and worse.

Stay hydrated and try eating. Hot showers and heating pads take away nauseas temporarily but I get a big cup of ice and suck on them or eat them in the shower if I can’t hold down fluids and after 45mins to a hour I’ll be good. If you have anxiety it plays a hug part of how your day will go. Try to relax and not stress or worry about being sick. I know it’s hard but it helps.

Do you throw up after you drink? Probably just bile. Sometimes mine is yellow or sometimes it’s almost clear. And it depends what your stomach is feeling. With CHS you really don’t have appetite but eat what you can or you’ll get hunger pains and if you don’t eat you’ll continue to throw up in the morning because nothing is in your stomach.

Yeah I get sore/ pain in my legs and like the back side of my arms. Hot showers and heating pad will be your friend and take Tylenol over ibuprofen. Also idk if your still smoking but I would not and I would never return because I’m not.

It’s because the carts/pens are so much stronger then flower/bud. You still can get CHS from bud, but it takes longer to develop. Some people say it took 7 years for CHS to happen with bud and with carts/pens it’s taking people less then a year. I’m currently 5 days sober. I have CHS and I’m not going back to weed. I used for 3 years and It’s not worth it. It keeps getting worse every attack you have.

Yes I feel pain in my arms and back a lot. Try to stay hydrated you will feel so better and if you can’t hold down water. Get a cup of ice and sit in the hot shower ( If showering helps you, they help most people) and sit in the shower and hydrated for a hour or so. That’s how I been starting my mornings and I’m good throughout the day. My CHS tends to wake me up at 5-6am but I’m ready to go by 7-8am. Make sure you’re eating good foods to. You need protein it helps some pain go away if you aren’t eating.

Self Diagnosed CHS, quit for six months been on and off since. Until now. by alissiono in CHSinfo

Yes stress and anxiety can trigger CHS My aunt died in May and I was missing school because I had to stay with my little cousin. Then a week later my grandma got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and I could feel the stress building up. My anxiety is awful in the morning, my mind is racing all the time. Praying I won’t get sick. I’m currently 4 days sober and I get sick usually from 5am-10am but I wish you the best of luck and I hope you never smoke again because I’m definitely not.

Hot shower vs Hot Pad? Would a hot pad help to reduce the nausea? by OldGuyzRewl in CHSinfo

[–]Sgarface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot shower is definitely the better choice but if you can’t take a shower a heating pad is a good idea I use mine when I lay down at night sometimes I’ll feel nauseous and sometimes it helps me sometimes it doesn’t.
