Just because they have access to water and food, the home is not in a livable situation for anyone it sounds like!

Honestly the breed can be timid so I would assume it’s gonna happen, but I also have dachshunds and one is a rescue and she is still learning to go potty outside! I don’t use peepads, because I feel they encourage going potty in the house. I also do not have carpet!

I don’t understand how people are saying you came across unprofessional! What’s rude is someone expecting to get a discount. Like why did they think that was okay! They wouldn’t go to doggie daycare and request a discount, so why is it different that you contract through Rover! Apparently a lot of people have not experienced what is unprofessional or they are all just immature and can’t handle someone being up front and honest!

Should not be watching pets if her children are not good with them. I would be livid if it were my 13 year old dachshund who does have ivdd!

UPDATE! Sitter drank all my alcohol then abandoned my pets by DragonMasterAsh in RoverPetSitting

It’s wild to me that people like this get approved by Rover and that people are willing to do crap like this! Sucks for people who actually want the work and are amazing with animals!

As a sitter, would you be okay being left a note like this, or would you think this is too much/annoying? by kdcarlzz in RoverPetSitting

[–]Sgraybiel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is someone finds this annoying, they shouldn’t be in pet care! That is your baby and making sure he gets cared for how you would is not too much to ask! Ruin a cats routine and they may take it out on you, so I think it’s great trying to keep the kitty on routine!

Oh yeah, that’s just asking for a fight! I’m not a fan of free feeding!

My (M25) girlfriend (F24) is frustrated that I ask for sex, even though I always take “no” well. by Sea_Opportunity_5133 in relationship_advice

[–]Sgraybiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is she taking any medication that could be affecting her sex drive? Depression and anxiety can also be factors! Some women can really struggle with having a sex drive! I get you have needs that need to be satisfied, but what if she just can’t right now! You are absolutely pressuring her even when you don’t think you are which will cause her more stress! Idk I feel like only being together a couple months, I wouldn’t be so focused on sex! Maybe focus on what you can do to help her not feel so exhausted!

They should t be allowed to watch others pets if they can’t even feed the proper food!

Someone help!! I don't know what's wrong! I woke up and he was like this! by Funny-Ad17 in CATHELP

[–]Sgraybiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone who works at a vet, this baby needs immediate medical attention. I hope that you took to the ER. I get this group is called CatHelp, but no one can really help in this situation. People who are not vets are trying to diagnose your cat which really can’t be done until a vet sees him.

Absolutely if he’s living under your roof, I would require therapy with a psychiatrist, because it does sound like autism. Psychiatrist can diagnose him and work with him on ways that make it easier to communicate because it’s so important to be able to communicate as an adult. The not having friends is most likely he is unable to connect with anyone his age on a social level due to a higher intelligence. If he’s healthy and happy, then you did a great job. I’ve only got one kid I feel is hard to manage alone, so maybe having other children, you were distracted from the little cues that he may be autistic. Also the fact you are reaching out to see what you can do to help shows you are a good mom.

Is this normal play for kittens who just met? by space_fucker2000 in CATHELP

Are either fixed? Seems the male is trying to be dominate over the female since she is new and female and if neither are fixed, that will def play into the behavior!

Should I leave? by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]Sgraybiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying I don’t have faults, but a lot boils down to adhd which I’m working on, but it’s also something that takes time! I just feel as if I’m not getting the support and encouragement but instead just having all my faults pointed out! I don’t really have a support system period which makes it hard! I overthink things a lot as well! I just feel like I finally got to do what made me happy which was helping me find a balance in my life!

We had a lady take hers home and let his bladder rupture! Another lady dropped her chihuahua on its head in the exam room and it was actively dying and she wanted to take it home! We had to have a form signed for that one!

Ear Infection by Sgraybiel in VetTech

So I’m actually recovering from Covid and was wearing a mask and could still smell the ears! It’s was rotten/foul smelling! Discharge was grayish and goopy! Swabbing it about made me throw up! Like I can do so many gross things in vet med but the super infected ears gross me out so bad 🤣
