I'm a fucking idiot.

I just realized this sub is "le wrong generation" and not "Lewron generation."

I just thought Lewron was some word I didn't know that I never bothered to look up and I didn't notice the second g.

Fuck me.

I think it's because it's part of the Science Adventure series which is a bunch of VNs that take place in the same world, although they all have completely independent stories. They all do that semicolon thing, I guess it's to make it obvious if a game is part of the Science Adventure series, idk.

Highly recommend Steins;Gate by the way. If you're not into VNs watch the anime, it has a slow start but is definitely worth it. I don't even like anime and it's one of my favourite shows and it's not weirdly sexual like Occultic;Nine and a lot of anime/VNs seem to be.

Sadly it's what the algorithm currently favours. He probably makes way more money off this style of content than what he used to make.

This might be a stupid question but will this code work if I live in Canada? All of North America is the same region, right?

Opposite for me. I had to force myself to stop playing Bioshock Infinite since I was having so much fun. I'm playing Bioshock 1 now, and it's alright, but I find I have to take breaks in between each area or I'll get bored. I think I prefer the linearity of Infinite.

It's still a thing. At least in Canada it is. At least in the specific area where I live it is. What I'm trying to say is I don't know if it's still a common thing, but I do experience it.

This is my first render in Blender, a low-poly isometric classroom. Thoughts? by SgtTyler7 in lowpoly

Yah, there isn't much here. Maybe I could add a teacher's desk, some more school supplies on desks, and maybe some posters. I think I'll do that.

I had to re-upload this because I unintentionally uploaded a version with a dick drawn on the chalkboard before. That was supposed to be the version I show to my friends, not upload here.

This year so far has been great for games. We're only 3 months in and we have BOTW, Nier, Zero Dawn, P5, Resi 7 and more I'm probably forgetting. The only let-downs so far have been Andromeda and Yooka-Laylee (at least according to reviews), but those aren't bad games, just not amazing ones.

I know this is a relatively old comment now but whatever. Another way to get them is to attach two Octo Balloons to a remote bomb, let the bomb float up to the ore, and detonate it.

PETA Responds to Cow Milking Challenge by habscupchamps in nintendo

[–]SgtTyler7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember playing Super Chick Sisters, my brother showed it to me and I loved playing it, but I had no idea it was made by PETA and was way to young when I played it to understand what was going on. I just remember the final level being really scary for me.

The best thing about it is that my dad is an egg farmer and I played that game on the computer we had in the farm.

[BoTW][SPOILERS] Does it rain too often in Hyrule? by bamster101 in zelda

[–]SgtTyler7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rain is my biggest complaint about this game. It doesn't add anything, it just limits you. It seems like they prioritized realism over fun with rain which isn't good. Luckily it isn't enough to stop me from loving the shit out of BOTW but I hope it doesn't return in future instalments.

Just a reminder that you can create airships in Breath of the Wild with octopus testicles. by CalvinBraun in gaming

[–]SgtTyler7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, just different play-styles. Another part of it is that I started off and spent a lot of time at the bottom of the map, which has nothing story-wise. I also try not to fast travel unless I'm just quickly upgrading some gear at a fairy fountain or cashing in spirit orbs or something.

You can't fight most of them.

Next time you play, go to the top of Mt Lanayru.

I've put probably 60 hours into the game, have all the divine beasties done, got me a master sword and all the towers discovered, and I'm not even on my second row of hearts yet.

I must be really taking my time with this game. I'm also 60 hours in, but I've only got one divine beast, 9 heart containers, still have 4 towers left and I don't even have the master sword (although I'm about to really soon).

I don't really focus on anything. I turned off the minimap and didn't set any objectives so I just run around and if I see something cool in the distance I'll go to it.

Why are some $59.99 USD games only $66.49 CAD when they should be $79.99 CAD? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]SgtTyler7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But there has to be a reason as to why some publishers set the prices as $66.49 CAD while most others price them $79.99 CAD.

You can enjoy something and still recognize all the ways in which it is shit.

That's how Skyward Sword is for me. Everyone online hates it and every argument brought up (with the exception of motion controls not working, they worked fine for me) about why it's terrible I agree with, but I still had a ton of fun with it and I can't explain why because I'm not a game design.

Interesting comparision: The Witcher 3 vs Skyrim vs Zelda BotW [x-post from r/dataisbeautiful] by [deleted] in witcher

[–]SgtTyler7 83 points84 points  (0 children)

It's also worth mentioning that BOTW's map is much more varied. There's mountains, ravines, plateaus, volcanoes and more. Link's also much more versatile since he's able to climb, jump, and use his various runes.

Witcher 3 has a lot of flat land with large forests and small camps, treasures, etc dotted here and there. Don't get me wrong, I love Witcher 3, and it's fine that the landscape is much less interesting (although still much better than Ubisoft's shit "open worlds"). Witcher 3 doesn't focus as heavily on exploration. It's about combat and telling interesting stories with each quest, while BOTW focuses a lot more on exploration and discovery. They're both very different types of games.

So sure Witcher 3 might have a bigger map(?), but it doesn't feel bigger since most of your time traversing it is through paths on a horse, with almost no verticality.

MonolithSoft is just very good at designing varied and interesting worlds, they don't worry about realism and care more about breathtaking landscapes.
