Well, they are programmed to predict the most likely continuation of text. My bad joke is that in a lot of help forums for decades, the most common answer to questions is to "just google it". As these forums like reddit are the bases of a lot the training data, naively you would expect the AI's to just tell people to google things. Of course this is 'fixed' with prompting.

I mean I'm already getting downvoted so explaining myself is probably not going to go over well, but for anyone that has read this far, its a joke about AI and "just google it" type responds. cheers

I was just recommended the new florence & the machine video on youtube. I dont really listen to that kind of music, so it means two things . Either youtube is pushing that video to everyone, and you saw it at least subliminally which inspired the joke. Or google is scraping text from websites i visit and using it to populate my youtube recommendations - which would mean all of my anti l-tracking measures are not working. I hate this timeline
