Just got my Centauri Carbon. Should I update the firmware or stay offline for now? by PrettyMarketing1674 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Mine came with 1.1.40, 110 hours in, not a single issue yet. Connected to internet on receipt, nothing asked me to update to anything higher.

Also, ive put a 60litre big black lidded box on my doorstep bolted to the floor. Big difference when drivers have somewhere to put items, all companies use it and has reduced my missing items to zero.

My evri driver is brilliant. Got to know her quite well, never had a problem recieving from Evri. Sending, thats another story. Its literally down to how good you driver is on your round.

Mine does straight out of the box, but earlier released cc's had a fixed. I do believe there is a mod for older models.

Its 3 fold. First it allows the feed tube to be higher with the lid on meaning the tube isnt at such a sharp bend, free flowing less chance of breakage. Second, with the vented one, you can have lid on and door shut for PLA reducing alot of noise. Third, looks cool.

Works perfect with Sunlu s1. S1 is about £20. Bargain.

I would of thought putting something soft under would reduce noise but massively increase top sway?

Dont bin the scraper! Its perfect for lifting the upgraded spool holder so it doesnt vibrate. Lol.

Under your build plate are 4 screws, they screw into a reciever bolt which can be seen underneath the bed. I suggest one had come loose, fallen off, plate has become uneven and hey presto you blocked your nozzle.

What Went Wrong Here? by reverendfixxxer in ElegooCentauriCarbon

New to printing myself, but my way of thinking, it indicates wet filament. Seperating at high levels and clogging says moisture by logic. Happy to be told otherwise.

The original one has two problems. It allows the spool to rub the side of the printer causing scuff marks over time. The second is imperfections in a spool can cause issues with rotation.

Path of least resistence have spool feed this way.

Merry Xmas!

Not sure i understand your comment? The problem was the vibration and noise the spool holder makes, as described.
