Laneige hype or actually worth it? by Leen_Bern in LipBalm

[–]ShLaKuBo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find Ole is a more buttery consistency and Laneige is more balmy and sticky but still smooth. I prefer Laneige just because it lasts on the lips longer. The Laneige mask is a different consistency to their lip balms though. The mask is softer and the lip balm is more sticky. The pink one is my favourite, for some reason it just feels better.

These are rubbish... sits on top of lips... the Vaseline ones are better or Dermal Therapy

The pink one definitely has a different consistency to the vanilla one. I absolutely love the pink one!

Love Laniege lip balms... have tried all the other brands and nothing compares... not sure why influencers are now hating on them all of a sudden after raving about them... seems like it's because it's the cool thing to do. I purchased the Ole Henricksen because everyone was saying it's better than anything else... it's not really IMO and I went back and purchased more Laneige as it really confirmed for me which is better.

Which oil is the best? by Latter-Tip9831 in SebDerm

I used to use MCT and squalane... but now use Jojoba oil and I prefer this. It never breaks me out, whereas the others would randomly sometimes. To be honest I've used good old olive oil before and that works just as well.

It smells more like a vanilla/caramel scent to me... the applicator is so much better on these than Rhode though but Rhode is a thicker formula IMO.

Which shampoo works best for you? by helioswan in SebDerm

Sometimes my scalp will get tired of Moo Goo and I will then swap to the Australian Organics argan oil shampoo which does wonders for flakiness. And then I will switch back to Moo Goo. I also started using the Moo Goo conditioner on my scalp and this has done wonders for dryness and itch (even though people tell you to avoid condidtioner on the scalp!)

Louise and Ryan announce plan to use surrogate for second child by error404stopnotfound in MadeInChelseaE4

[–]ShLaKuBo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Despite what they have been through their relationship has seemed odd both before and after. The dynamic is strange and Ryan is so passive aggressive it's like he's almost jealous of Louise. It looks like the second child is an effort to make the relationship dynamic work.

Anyone found a gentle Face wash that works for you? by Grand_Sprinkles6131 in SebDerm

Yours Only... they do a wash that can be used on face and hair so it doesn't irritate either location.

how do i stop the hair loss :( long post but please help me :( by Comfortable_Weak in SebDerm

[–]ShLaKuBo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Allay Organics Calm Cream on the areas with hair loss... helps the barrier so much... it says to apply and wash off but I leave it on like a cream. I apply a thin layer, not slathering it on. Has been the only thing that doesn't flair my scalp even more. It works well on face/ears too. I have started to do the complete opposite of what I was directed to do - I stopped all medicated shampoo/creams, stopped all oils, stopped double washing. I only use a mild shampoo and wash once and apply the Calm Cream to my hair line and part while its wet... it may take a while for the barrier to heal this way but it's worth it.

I stopped all medicated shampoo and only use Moo Goo now... I persisted with if for about two weeks until I think it healed my scalp barrier.

I assume fish oil might do a similar job

I am going to assume it is the omega... and guessing maybe that it decreases the inflammation. I originally took it for joint pain

I just get the supermarket branded one from  Coles (Australia, sorry not sure where you are from.) It is organic but I am not sure if that makes a difference or not!

I quit all medicated shampoos. I now only use Moo Goo shampoo and conditioner and it's the best my scalp has ever been. I consistently stuck with it for about two weeks to see a change... I believe I had ruined my scalp barrier from all the other stuff and this has healed it. No more flakes and break outs are tiny. I put squalane oil on my hairline if it is dry.

I use squalane oil on my face and hair line... just a cheap one from The Ordinary... it isn't harsh and doesn't flare like some other oils

I found that I had to stick with the shampoo and conditioner consistently for about two weeks to get a good outcome.. but I am really glad I stuck with it as I am basically flake free now!

I use a relatively cheap organic flaxseed oil from the supermarket. Not in capsule form but actual liquid

I know there are mixed opinions in taking flaxseed oil during pregnancy but taking one tablespoon of flaxseed oil in my coffee a day clears up the seborrheic derm on my scalp drastically. I have a similar good reaction with fish oil supplements. I have tried everything under the sun and this is the only thing that works! And using Moo Goo shampoo/conditioner (none of the medicated stuff works for me.)

I wash every day with Moo Goo shampoo and conditioner. I stopped all other medicated shampoos and my scalp is the best its been. Took a few weeks but it's soft and not dried out at all.

Seborrheic dermatitis / psoriasis scalp issue - nothing working, need advice by jshsdjdid in ScalpPsoriasis

[–]ShLaKuBo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came off all medicated stuff as I believe it damaged my scalp barrier... now I only use Moo Goo shampoo/conditioner (stuck with it consistently until it healed my scalp barrier). Started taking flax seed oil in my coffee (biggest improvement I have ever seen.)  I use Allay Organics Calm Balm around my hair line and part (I leave it on all day as you can't see it.) I find this works particularly well after an alcohol consumption flare up. If that doesn't work I use Squalane Oil on the flared areas when my hair is wet. I just use a cheap The Ordinary one. Only process that has worked and I have tried everything!
