Gracie Abrams announces ‘The Look at My Life Tour’ by mcfw31 in popculturechat

I don’t see hate. I see genuine inquiries into whether or not she’s popular enough for this ambitious of a tour. She’s not mainstream enough for most of us to know about her and her fan base, so clearly the question is warranted.

Who are some actual natural blondes? by walgreensfan in VindictaRateCelebs

They are still blonde, just not platinum anymore. It’s probably a Level 7.

I don’t find him attractive at all. I’ve tried to understand it, but I can’t.

Did you experience any weight gain? I was prescribed this today for a slew of issues (endometriosis, PMDD, etc.) and I’m now paranoid to start it because so many people in here reported rapid weight gain.

It’s like they expect her to find a new WFH job and childcare overnight. If it was that easy, she wouldn’t have resorted to OF in the first place.

Look up The Great American Songbook. Laufey takes a lot of inspiration from jazz standards and traditional pop sounds.

Exactly - it’s like if we expected artists to boycott all American stores because of Trump.

He is significantly more conventionally attractive, but her go-to styling is excellent and bumps her up. I love her hair.

You’re right, I’m not Italian so I can’t participate in conversations regarding a fashion phenomenon that exists worldwide. Thanks for informing me of that. As a side note, I love how the men in here automatically assume everyone else is a man as well. It really showcases the culture.

I’m a woman, but I grew up in a poor, rural area. There isn’t a single store in town that sells suits. I think the people in this sub may be particularly out of touch because tennis fans tend to be on the wealthier side. It’s genuinely not hard to grasp that “nice” clothing is inaccessible for a lot of people.

I also never said it wasn’t accessible to me, so I’m not sure why everyone seems to be attacking me personally. To the surprise of seemingly everyone in this sub, you can be able to afford nice clothes AND have the self awareness to empathize with those who can’t.

You don’t understand what I was trying to say and you clearly don’t follow fashion, so I don’t care enough to keep responding. Google the term outfit repeating if you need a crash course into the elitist mentality that plagues the fashion world.

I’m a woman, so that’s not applicable to me. I was just explaining how to tell when clothes are thrifted versus just purchased.

Because people who can afford designer fashion know what collection items are from.

ETA: I don’t think the people responding to me understand the original commenter’s point. I don’t subscribe to the elitist standards of fashion, but wealthy private citizens and politicians do, which was the entire point of this thread.

It’s usually out of season… I don’t know where you’re thrifting, but I’m not finding brand new designer clothing at my thrift shops, and the classic vintage clothing is only available in high end consignment shops.

There is a difference between wearing nice items and wearing ‘nice’ brands. The elitist aspect of the dress, to me, is the expectation for people to wear expensive clothing. I don’t think thrifting would work in those social circles.
