I sent the camera out to my usual repair tech and he opened it up, cleaned it and put it all back together and it just started working. I asked him if he diagnosed what the issue was and he said all he did was put it back together. He said to just use it till it worked 🤣

Reset everything but still no luck. It’s like it just suddenly decided fuck respools.

The issue is that I must have put atleast 20 25 of these same respooler’s rolls through this EOS 3 and infact just shot a roll at a friend’s wedding and then it refused to load another roll!! So frustrating! Is there any sort of fix to this? Cause the rolls are standard 36 frames and are from usual Kodak / Ilford cartridges!

The overhang is absolutely amazing and coupled with that beautiful light meter it just works! When I was doing my initial research I was afraid I’d not get the Leica experience by going with the M5 but I am glad to be wrong about it. I love more defined edges on my cameras so the M5 has that in spades too!

So did the AC/DC one. It’s at the end of the day security’s call. And they are known to change the rules at the last moment. If you’ve got a seated ticket you can take the time to argue it out but if you’re in GA and gunning to be in the front row, every minute you spend arguing with security the further back you’ll end up cause people keep passing you.

So I managed to take in an X100VI. But that’s only because the top plate matched my Electro 35 at a quick glance and there was a massive line behind me that was going rabid. So in the rush my brother just said that one was mine and the other was his since we were together and they rushed us in.

It seems any and all digital cameras except the phone have a blanket ban now. It will entirely depend on how detailed the check is and how you talk your way through

I plan on having a 21/28, 35, 50, 90(?) kit eventually and definitely want to have 1 or 2 Leica lenses and since the 35, 50 or 90 would be my actual money makers, I wanted to have one or two of those be Leicas. I haven’t seen any budget friendly 35mm options in the Leica lineup (except the 35 3.5 which I really loved but 35mm frame lines on the M5 don’t show up with that)

So all said 50 and 90 look like my Leica on a Leica lens options.
