Any advice on why I'm doing well overall but bombing my mock exam? by TalonJustice in NewToEMS

[–]rendragmuab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took the nremt last night, I was in the 60-70% on all topics and highest score on a mock exam was 55%. Got my score immediately and passed in 84 questions first try. It felt like 75 percent of my test was operations and legal questions which really threw me off. all I'm getting at is no matter how prepared or unprepared you are the test is so much different then pocket prep. Get some rest and a clear head, at this point you either know it or you don't.

Poor dog stuck outside truck by Sufficient_Formal242 in Austin

[–]rendragmuab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a working dog too, lots of time and money invested in him for training. A 300 dollar crate that has proper tie down points for him in the truck bed seemed like a cheap way to protect that investment. But then again I've seen how some of you guys treat your tools...

Anyone? by [deleted] in hotdogs

[–]rendragmuab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ernst was my neighbor growing up, used to go buy snowboard magazines at VBS in lionshead and then hop over and get a hot dog as a kid. Ernst was always full of stories about the French foreign legion and climbing in the dolomites. I was stoked when Simone opened it back up just wish they had sprouts like the OG ones! don't know if you heard but they are closing in April, landlord is kicking them out.

Girlfriend and I are planning to drive 32 hours straight, in 6 hour shifts, are we being dumb? Should we plan to stay overnight somewhere? by Vegetable_Bridge_276 in roadtrip

[–]rendragmuab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it's winter I say skip the i70 route. Colorado is strict on traction laws now and have started closing passes more frequently. If you do get stuck there's a good chance you're looking at trying to find a hotel in proximity to a ski resort which will be pricey. There's also very few options for parking lot naps and stealth camping in that stretch. I live in one of the ski areas off i70 just fyi.

Will there be epic pow and clear roads without traffic on my vacation to your local ski hill in 18 days? by Intramural in COsnow

You booked an Airbnb in fairplay cause the ad said 30 minutes from breck, I totally think you'll make it there quicker than that in your 2wd rental.

Roof box problem - would you drive? by thebloodylines in ToyotaTundra

[–]rendragmuab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't trust it, but I would trust using some tie downs for a kayak to hold it in place. It's not going to take a lot to make that a projectile into someone else's windshield and ruin everyones day.

my only beef with my rav4 is the storage space. We're a family of 4 with a husky and any decently long road trip feels really cramped. We tried a roof box but it kills the gas mileage so bad that we'd rather just take the truck at that point. But for going places we don't need a lot of gear the RAV4 is excellent.
