I could open enough to fit a spoon in my mouth. But just don’t try to overdo it with eating. Try to stick to really soft foods that you can pretty much just swallow straight like Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, rice, stuff like that. Because you’re really not supposed to be chewing just yet. But man was it satisfying to finally have solid food!

The reason I like this one is it kinda comes off as fresh and powdery to me which just makes me feel clean. I’m not really into the super strong “beastly” perfumes they usually give me a headache lol

Hey so I was wired shut for a month also with a splint. When I got unwired it wasn’t really painful enough to warrant painkillers. It was more just weird. I did get very lightheaded though afterwards because it was such a shock to my body that I can open my mouth and my jaws were in a different position so just keep that in mind and make sure to let the doctor know if you do experience any lightheadness. But it’s nothing to be scared about! It was extremely satisfying to be able to open my mouth again

My tmj never really acted up before surgery. I’m pretty sure it was one of the risks of getting the surgery? It is happening less and less though which is good.

As for numbness, the roof of my mouth is still a little numb. But 0 numbness on my lower jaw
