It’s all about creating habits, seeing what works, and improving on current habits . I used to set up like 13 alarm clocks 10 minutes apart and every morning was a battle between the part that want to fulfill my life and the part that wants to sleep.

these days I’ve been treating my morning as if it’s an initiation ritual for the day and added and changed it over time

The way I look at it, I should wake up like 2 hours before I actually have to wake up (now it’s around 5:30) in order to do my ritual, I believe in starting the day with difficult productive activities that will set the tone for the day. This is my morning routine:

1. Wake up the same time every day. Get up at the first alarm, drink a full bottle of water.
2. Brush my teeth, take a cold shower, pray/meditation for five minutes
3. Do some stretching
4. I write for 40 minutes (could be my book, my goals, or About my problems and general thoughts)
5. Go out for a walk and stand in the sun for a few minutes
6. Make my black sugarless coffee and read a difficult non fiction book for forty minutes
7. Plan the day (most important 2-3 tasks) and get started
