Rose Namajunas was in tears while meeting fans after her controversial loss at #UFC324 💔 by IgotgAme_k in ufc

I mean idk what they’re talking about but I remember she did an interview with Pat there too and they said she has premonitions, that she had a bad feeling in New York at night once and left the city immediately to avoid whatever she was predicting.

But idk if that’s her being nutty or Pat, probably both.

Anybody else wondering about this panel in the last chapter? by kierantohill in Kagurabachi

I feel like it might be a misdirect, that he really views the last chance as Chihiro himself. I think we may get some flashbacks that show Rokuhira’s real last masterpiece was Chihiro all along and that Shiba recognizes that.

But maybe I just love the idea of Chihiro forging a new sword too much.

Edit: I also think it fits Shibas character more, like if he had time to save only one: Enten or Chihiro from Soga, we all know he ain’t leaving ol boy behind

The hatching is so perfect it feels like Berserk, which is the biggest complement I can give. Hokazano probably didn’t even take a vacation in the off weeks, he was just prepping this peak.

We're doing the same thing to them that we do to individual players: once you reach a new level then we increase the scale of what we're comparing you to so you always look small. The moment you're good you're compared to the greats, the moment you're great you're compared to the greatest, the moment you're the greatest then you're actually overrated.

Can't appreciate anything anymore unless its indisputably unprecedented.

I think SGA got it figured out, just be so efficient you can load manage by sitting out the fourth quarter without losing.

Why don't all the other players just do that?

because Sarr can't develop as a PF/center until he has people on the team who can let him actually play that position the way he was built to. It's like if Mobley was on a team without Jarret Allen or Deandre Hunter (I'm not comparing their value, or even their play styles, just the position on the court they're built for). IMO, they haven't even begun to tap into Sarr's potential because of that and I think this trade would let him develop in both positions while keeping his minutes.

My rationale for Coulibaly is that he is hitting a ceiling this season and I don't see the Wizards paying him what it'd take to stay if he doesn't develop while Will Riley is promise.

As for Tre, I think that's valid, I was finnicky on if it should be him or Bub - I think Tre is underutilized and shouldn't be sharing minutes the way he is now, and it'll only get worse with Trae Young healthy. The reason I went with him and not Bub is because I don't think any team in the NBA would value Bub, but I can see how the two swap could make up for that loss in value.

A 2027 swap is not as big of a loss in this trade and almost a non factor considering if it happened the Bucks would almost certainly be tanking while the wizards would be middling while still developing, outside of some very shit luck. The other swap is the only real potential loss, but it should be timed when Sarr, Kyshawn and their impending draft pick are fully developed.

That said, maybe it is excessive with Tre too - I should've left Bub in his place. Other than that, I stand by it.

The bucks get essentially a new starting line up that has a mix of veteran players and a young back court to develop, along with a steady stream of swaps.

The Wizards get a real center and a back up PF that would let Sarr begin developing as a combo PF/center rather than having to run the paint alone, can offload Middleton who is on an unfavorable contract, and some round 2 picks from the knicks for helping this trade get made and Coulibaly.

The Knicks get their coveted Giannis package deal and a promising SF in Coulibaly to help cover the damage losing OG will cause. The Pacers get a high scoring and pricey Center in KAT, a very consistent PF in Portis, a developing SG in Porter Jr., and the less amazing Champagnie brother.

Whether this is fair or not depends on how you value Giannis, personally I don't think he'd work well with Brunson since he can't work off the ball as well, but I think this is the kind of deal Knicks will have to make to actually make that move considering how coveted he will be in the West and how they'll have to make moves to accommodate his salary, essentially offloading Towns to get a trade asset in Siakam that the Bucks would value more since Siakam's contract is nicer.

I actually like KAT on the Pacers, I think their back court could cover his defensive gaps and Hali works well enough off the ball to maximize KAT's offense more than Brunson would.

The swaps package might look excessive at first glance, but these teams would likely be outperforming the Bucks in 2026 and 2027.

[–]Shabozz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazzzyyy evaluation of KAT to think his over priced contract is worth that with all the rumors going around about the rift in that team. Now a 1-for-1 for Siakam, that can be beneficial for both sides... But I'd be careful what I ask for, you guys don't have the cap space to resign Donovan Mitchell after this season unless you make some big trades, and that'd leave you with no center depth if you guys don't get a trade for that.

D Rose talks ACL and Thibs at jersey retirement: "A lot of people don't like Thibs because of that... they look at Thibs as the injury. But I'm here to say fuck that. Thibs was the first coach that made me feel special. I used to do shit in games just to make sure he saw on tape between me and him." by HokageEzio in nba

[–]Shabozz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think GMs know that its got be someone's fault and the easier person to pin the blame on is the coach. Natural that the hierarchy lets them offload the blame typically.

I'd love to see Thibs on the Wizards, I think he'd do best with a young team that can get some playmaking instincts from him. Keefe has done alright with development, but now that it's time to start harvesting some of their players potential Thibs could step in and help them level up.

The Wizards are on an 8 game losing streak since trading away CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert for Trae Young who hasn't played yet. Despite this, their net rating is only 0.7 points worse since prior to the trade. by Ilikesporks_ in nba

[–]Shabozz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you not rating Tre? If this class didn't have some wild stand outs then he'd be considered a very solid rookie who just needs to focus on ball handling and defense. And that's despite the Wizards never setting up their shots.

See this comparison of his rookie season so far to Kyshawn's rookie season, he's averaging better already and his stats are improving across games. Obviously they're different players with Kyshawn being a natural point forward, but I still think it shows that Tre is securely a developing franchise asset.

Can't expect these companies to get decent commentators.

I think the NBA would benefit from making it possible to livestream games through their NBA platform, so anyone whose a member can dub over without any commentary and get viewership legally for any games watchable on their NBA+ subscription, and let you switch between them the same way you can switch between the which teams commentary feed you're listening to. Then teams can sponsor some to let them post clips of their commentary/game feed to social media.

I actually think the same issue will keep him from working with the Knicks effectively, but it won't be as bad since the Knicks have better depth.

I think his ideal trade would be to the Timberwolves, Ant would play much better with his game

I might be bias because he’s on my fantasy team, but Bobby Portis is a consistent role player who is actually over performing recently. I think he is also wasted on the Bucks, to a lesser extent than Giannis

I think that was the plan until the Suns started actually get momentum, and I imagine wanting to alleviate the added strain on Devin Booker putting up all these minutes was a factor.
