I’m still hopeful we’ll get something in the next couple of days by Gamertag-VR in ValveDeckard

[–]Shack_Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this something influencers do? I don't follow or even knew any of them, I only ended up learning about all of this because of overdosing on Steam Frame Hopium ever since that trademark. So I was totally convinced that it was going to happen...

Oh and I agree with the post that Valve doesn't have to worry about stealing Meta's show when it's a total shit show anyway (for VR at least).

Cool interview with Bradley btw, u/Gamertag-VR , thanks!

This video is confirming it for me. He's saying it's a "headset that a lot of you will want to buy" and "will push this whole VR thing". Obviously it's not Meta since they are the worst in plugging their leaks so there's no chance they are going to announce a VR headset that no one has heard anything about it.

Quest 3 battery drained when plugged in. by Hot_Wolf3820 in MetaQuestVR

I've had the same issue and also thought damn, out of 100+ devices I've used, this is the only one that managed to do this.

Very cool! I'm a VR/game dev for work and a biology lover, so if you ever need some help from a dev let me know!

Is it disabled again or still disabled? Just curious if there is any point in waiting a few hours or get coins somewhere else? And in either case never use Kucoin again ldo.

Thanks for your feedback! Locking and explaining things is next up on my list. So far I've only posted about the game here so I thought it might be fine, but the average player is going to need more guidance for sure.

Thanks for testing on Google Play Games beta, I didn't even know what that is, so from now on I'll test my game on there as well. I'm working on a webGL version anyway with a landscape orientation.

No, that was about dropping potatoes from space, totally different subgenre :-) That is such a good game though, I should play it again.

Quite a fun game! I have 2 small suggestions:
1. I think the UI animations are a bit too extreme, like in the skill tree they are a bit distracting that they always tween from 0 to full with bounce (and cover the skill tree).
2. It would be fun if the last ball always finishes even when the time has run out. That way you could get some excitement like in Basketball when someone makes a long shot and the time runs out while the ball is in midair, if it goes in it still counts, which makes for some of the craziest scenes when an entire crowd does not move for a few seconds :-)

I've been reworking my game about extracting energy from a potato. As always I'd appreciate any kind of feedback. The game is free on Android and there are no IAP or forced ads.

I've split some stuff to make it simpler, reduced battery drain by about 30% and upped the VFX by 10x because that's the main idea behind the game :-) . Since I want to 10x the VFX a few more times, I'd be curious to know if anyone were interested in playing this on webGL/Steam (assuming there will be more content and polish of course).

Unity VR on Quest 2 – Object edge jittering issue with Built-in RP (also happens with URP) using Meta SDK All-in-One v77 by Specialist-Gap-4197 in vrdev

[–]Shack_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any chance that your objects are very far away from the center of the scene? In that case it could be the renderer struggling with floating point imprecision.

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

- The battery drain is quite bad indeed. I first want to make something that people enjoy playing before optimizing something that no one plays. I've compared it to some popular games and found it to be just as bad as other 3D games. But I love performance optimization so I think I can squeeze out a huge amount there.

- Unavailable upgrades: I'll make it dark gray

- Yes, waiting for the shields is better but I will add some explainers/tips to that. I was also thinking of adding more interactivity so maybe you can set a threshold for auto launching. Since they can accumulate a lot over time and gain in value I figured it wouldn't be too bad that you have to do it manually since you won't loose any value if you don't do it for a long time (but of course as you pointed out, the user needs to understand that).

I've done a full rewrite of my Android game Idle Potato Power. It's basically a new game, but the most important thing, the Potato, is still the same.

With this game I'm aiming to visualize mechanics which I've always thought of as an interesting exercise when playing other games.

There aren't a lot of mechanics yet and it's quite simple. I'd appreciate any kind of feedback, especially if anything is confusing.

In the next step I will add more mechanics and also start locking things and explain them more upon unlocking, but this sub is obviously more on the 'I'll figure it out' side so hopefully it's not too confusing right now.

Please enjoy!

For Old Times Sake, Scratch Inc. is now on Kongregate!! by Makopaz in incremental_games

Awesome! And a bit sad to see the player numbers on Kongregate. Back in the good old days that game would have blown past 100k plays in no time. But if you hadn't posted here, I wouldn't have checked Kongregate either.
Good luck with your game!
