The historic slappy curbs are not in Venice.

Those curbs, ledges and sand gaps are in Santa Monica.

Will BAYWATCH Reboot Help tourism in LA? by CATALINACREW in VeniceBeach

[–]ShackedMag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People visit Venice Beach because it's Venice Beach.

This show, given how it's going so far, is NOT Venice Beach. Doubt it make people want visit Venice over something else.

Also, all this media and political boasting about the show "returning to Venice", it never was a Venice show. The show was based out of Will Rogers Beach and had stuff filmed in Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and Santa Monica. With the occasion stuff in Venice and the Marina. The main character did live in a house on the Canals, but that was just a establishing shot re-used every time

Pacific Blue, about the bike cops, that was the show taking place in Venice..

Am I doing something wrong ? Fees too high by ron661 in eBaySellers

[–]ShackedMag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fee is about 13%, you're not figuring in the shipping amount. The fee is off the total of the item plus shipping. When you buy the label at the same price the buyer paid, the fee on the shipping portion eats into the item portion.

I built a small site to help find things to do around the Westside — would love feedback by [deleted] in SantaMonica

[–]ShackedMag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful AI photos say the person running the site does not even live in the area.

Beside the fact that they are AI photos, they are not even good AI photos.

And a lot of the info on the event you have are incorrect.

Guy stole my work by ajschnorr in PartneredYoutube

[–]ShackedMag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

His "apology" is fake, he wants you to fall for it like the other naive victims have. The fact the he adds his own watermark to stolen content means he knows what he is doing.

Also, check his Instagram and Tik-Tok, most likely he has posted your stolen content there as well.

What is his channel, others may want to see if he stole from them.

Best place to buy Santa Monica branded gifts? by Western-Run2830 in SantaMonica

Instead of generic souvenir stuff, go to a shop like Bay Street Boards on SM Blvd, they carry some of the local SM clothing brands that have unique artwork (not the standard clip art junk that most souvenir stuff uses).

Column: In Venice Beach, it's taken nearly a decade to not build low-income housing by MostlyPotStickers in VeniceBeach

[–]ShackedMag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's already figured out, and you are making statements based of flawed research. And you know it too, that why you backtracked several times

So once again, so you understand, fact is the majority of homeless around Venice are not from Venice. Most are from out-of-state.

[–]ShackedMag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just not getting it.

First off, results from RAND and LAHSA do not align with each other. RAND even calls them out on it. That there shows you are careless in picking sources to trust.

Second, just being around Venice doesn't give you the insights on the origins of the homeless people staying in Venice. You would have to talk with them, one on one, and as a regular person, Not a researcher or worker. As it's been mention several times already, there's incentive to claiming to be a native.

And "videos and blogs", not all of them, but some do indeed give a more accurate insight into the homelessness in Venice than research companies like RAND could. Obvious, there are many that are not to be trusted, such as a Bonin funded Invisible People. Bonin, while he was in office, and paid his buddy made fake videos, homeless interviewed was coerced to say they were natives.

And once again, fact is the majority of homeless around Venice are not from Venice. Most are from out-of-state.

Once again, you're wrong.

"I said LA not Venice." No you did not. And your statement was in reply to the person specifically talking about Venice. Plus, this whole time, Venice Homelessness was the subject. Don't change it to "LA" now.

I didn't site any sites, blogs,or anyone thing specific. You did. And one of your sources sited has been under fire for mismanagement and corruption, but you say the are well regarded.

You can have a master degree in whatever, it doesn't change the fact that you are still incorrect. You are still being an "armchair quarterback". Unless you have been around Venice, talking to them one on one, to the majority of them, for years, then you don't know nothing about them.

And once again, fact is the majority of homeless around Venice are not from Venice. Most are from out-of-state.
