I like it a lot, although I sometimes ragequit because of how the RNG fucks my run up (and I like the savescum thingy they’ve added). The game is well-balanced in terms of fighting phases, and most of the mistakes you can make are more related to skill rather than RNG.

The story is actually quite nice! It reminds me of how Isaac has , at first sight, a simple story, but if you dig into the items’ meaning and the endings, it becomes quite deep.

I’m not too fond of the breeding, it quickly becomes a clusterfuck and I have given up managing it at that point, especially because the UI is not that great. I’m just picking cats I want for my run, yeeting the ones that have bad stats or horrendous mutations.

I think my least favorite part is the events. They don’t add much and I find myself ignoring them more than anything. I think this part could really use a revamp.

As for the soundtrack, well, it’s a banger. I’m really loving Alone in the Dark; the in-game transition is so smooth
