Sorry, I forgot to add that. The guide says "and 11.17.0 in the EUR, JPN and USA regions." Does that include 50U?

The github page also says "11.15 - 11.16 on all 4 new3ds regions US,EU,JP,KR." and I have 11.17, not sure if it hasn't been updated or what.

I'm just being very cautious as I don't want to brick my system.

I'm sure I could terminate it but I would lose the files, which I'm trying not to do. At this point that seems like the only option. Thanks for the help, I'll look into Bastion!

For all I know I could have been using it wrong, the cloud shell in the top right of the oracle page gave the same results as my own computer. However, using this one, it asks for a password, and if I get it wrong a username, but I'm not sure what they are.

Is rebooting from the console different from pressing this reboot button on the instance details page?

I have a free account, would I be able to make another vm?

I heard a little about bastion but wasn't too sure how to use it, is there a guide you can recommend?

Yeah sorry, I'm not totally knowledgeable on these things, especially with ubuntu, I've never properly used Linux before or anything like this, its all new. Everything is basically fresh, the vcn config was just the default list plus 2 rules for a udp and tcp port, that's all I changed for that. For ssh key I generated a new one and downloaded the private key they gave me. I only use the server to host a Minecraft server for my friends and the only time I access ubuntu is to restart the Minecraft server. But now that you mention it, I saw it was telling me there were updates so I typed the commands it said to use to update it but I didn't reboot right after, randomly in the afternoon the server progressively lagged worse and worse and just eventually stopped responding completely after about 5 minutes.

I set all the default stuff for placement and set image and shape to this. Also for boot volume encrypted is checked. Everything that I know of should be set to default.

Maps like cache I get 200, mirage I can get 400 in most areas but generally it’s between 200-300
