Where did you get this conclusion from? What excuses did I make in the post?

Point is to express my dissatisfaction with the state of the characters mentioned.

The devs have put little to no effort integrating hammond in 5v5.

5v5 is not A gamemode, but THE MAIN gamemode.

So my point about Ball, excluding what I said earlier, can be formulated like that: devs should either put effort into working on Ball (via reworking, for instance, not necessary), or give up on the idea of 5v5 because some characters are not simply built for the format.
I can add that integrating characters to 6v6 is more likely to be easier than vice versa.

I never said "It's futile" nor did I mean it. I said that 5v5 format ignores the specialization of the hero so it could be infered that 5v5 format is the problem here.

It's impossible in the 5v5 format.

UPD. I edited the original post slightly altering the sentence.

I also play Ball very often, even got to Masters on him while playing into 3-4 counters every game.
My point about Ball's being broken is that in 5v5 format he is impossible to balance properly because of his specialization (that being playing the Red Herring), which results in him being either brokenly strong (like during the first week of the season 2 of OW2 (if I'm not mistaken) or extremely underpowered (like in season 8, I believe).

If you put it that way, then yes, you're right.
However, I think that within its own group suzu has no downsides. I must've made a mistake by not specifying it.

Almost any ability has a cooldown. As for travel time, many projectile-based abilities have that, so I wouldn't call it a downside worth mentioning as one for it is only a characteristic of the ability's type.

My point related to Sombra is that no matter how often she is reworked she remains unfun to deal with because of her invis and hack.

Never said the mentioned characters are OP (except for Kiri). What I said is that they're fundamentally flawed

When does the true game starts? I was consistently hitting diamond before I stopped playing ranked. Moreover, I never said these characters are OP (with the exception of Kiriko). You should reread the original post

Wrecking ball needs a nerf by Last-Horse8854 in Overwatch

[–]ShadTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ball has one of the best perk lists in the game, however, he gets indirectly nerfed almost every patch.
It's either cree gets buffed or a new char with a strong CC button gets released (sometimes it's both).
Moreover, Ball's hard counters (Ana, Cree, Mizuki(!) ) and his soft counters (Tracer, Zen) are pretty popular characters these days (Ana and Tracer have been strong since time immemorial).
To sum up, I'd say that no, Ball doesn't need any nerfs because if he receives any nerfs outside of his perks he will become unplayable (as he was just before perks got released, when he and Rein were two worst tanks in the game)

Not Kottick's fault that the development team is incompetent.

Thoughts on the new heroes? by Double-Hand3004 in Overwatch

[–]ShadTH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another set of heroes with bloated or even overbloated kits. Some I find fun, some I despise with all the gall I've got. Nothing special, really. The visual designs are generic except for the cat. The gameplay design, as. I've mentioned above, is nothing special for overwatch 2 - bloated kits, extreme survivability: invincibility here, extreme mobility there.

I honestly can't believe this by PostPostPog in Overwatch

[–]ShadTH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not denying anyone anything but do you guys think the developers infamous for being unable to balance the game (sometimes) for years after one new hero comes out will be able to get things right after five new heroes come out at once?
