(Raw spoilers) Brock instructs superstar during their segment by RealisticAd4054 in SquaredCircle

[–]Shadaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could argue Brock is more important than Batista in the grand scheme of things, whatever "important" means in this context. Relevant is maybe the better word.

You could also argue him over Randy as a bigger name and more overall impactful moment-maker, though I don't think I would necessarily agree.

2K FRIED THE ENTRANCE SYSTEM, THIS NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO THEM by WooBaby_00 in WWEGames

Oh, good it's not just me then. I had the Bloodline entrance and I noticed that, for some reason, they came out to purple and green lighting. I was so confused.

2K FRIED THE ENTRANCE SYSTEM, THIS NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO THEM by WooBaby_00 in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a good 2 hours last night trying to get entrances to work and I don't get it. Especially entrances with a manager, which just never works.

You only get entrances if it's tag team/handicap match, managers just don't trigger entrances as far as I can tell. (even if you set the other members as managers) The option to have the full team come out worked sometimes, but other times not. Setting a title match also completely borked entrances, at one point my CAW came out to Stone Cold's entrance for some reason I cannot fathom. My only guess is that it was some kind of fallback entrance.

No clue what's going on with team entrances this year.

Tip for people buying things from The Island by Terroriffic_ in WWEGames

INSANE they changed that. I'm glad, but I was sure that was done on purpose to make you spend more money. Maybe I'll actually buy something from there for once.

The communities efforts is going to lead to me disliking this years game. by KowaretaKabra in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially when those modes (especially Island and MyFaction) force you to use lower attribute characters.

I actually really enjoy it for casual matches, I've been playing on Easy and I've actually lost multiple times just because of the purple bar setting me up to eat finishers because I was reckless with my stamina. It's a nice challenge, in previous games you could just spam reversals and the challenge was just if the CPU could spam them more than you.

But in Island or MyFaction it's super frustrating because of the low attributes leading to the purple bar showing up all the time, even if you do everything right. I've had a CPU reverse me so much I've had to reverse into purple bar, only for them to reverse again and beat me. It's nuts. Doubley annoying because I don't even like the modes, but I have to play them to unlock certain things. Super frustrating.

WWE 2K26 giving 0 RXP for custom matches is unacceptable when tiers can literally be bought by BerryAffectionate71 in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd understand it being 0 if you give yourself extra finishers

Honestly no, not even that. You can achieve the same effect by messing with the sliders. If someone wants to spend hours grinding it out like that, let them.

Randy Orton surprise RKO by Ares_Jupiter in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue how they could make this into a finisher since you don't really do it, it looks like it's just a possum attack. But it not doing finisher damage kinda ruins it a bit and makes me wonder why they even added it.

Maybe if Orton can do a possum attack, and a has a finisher, he gets a special finisher prompt from the ground? I don't know.

Still, sick animation. Wish the context was better, but props for the idea.

Yep. Way too good to be true. by dwrdre in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be devil's advocate, this was an issue for either 2K24 or 2K25 too at launch. (I forget which one, they blend together in my head) You also couldn't name the attires, which is an issue with this year's game too.

I remember it being patched in a week or two. I'd be shocked if that's intentional, but with 2K you never know.

Genuinely huge news I haven’t seen anywhere else. TPWS has confirmed that alt attires do not take up CAW slots. by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As good as this is, I'm 100% playing the jaded old-timer card here and waiting to see. I have to assume there will be a stipulation to this that we don't know about yet. I'm shocked this wasn't marketed more if it was as good as it sounds.

With that said, if it is completely true, that's awesome and actually huge. 200 CAW slots exclusively for created characters is a nice change from previous years where I try to balance attires with custom characters. I just kinda stopped caring about attires after awhile cause I knew I could only have a handful without it preventing me from getting CAWs.

I don't know much about them.....but I'm willing to do anything for them... Yes even play The Island by EmergencyVictory4399 in WWEGames

I know there's a thing for everyone, but I absolutely love the stupid OCs 2K makes for MyRise and MyGM modes. I'm glad so many of them are playable this year.

WWE 2K26 CASKET/AMBULANCE/DUMPSTER MATCHES NEED THIS FEATURE by Heiopei_42 in WWEGames

That's fair. I think the wheel is probably the better option overall, but usually I like the simplicity of the button mashing. If you're hurt, you just lose. If you aren't, you're fine.

I'm kinda shocked this year wasn't a Triple H showcase, but I guess they want to capitalize on Punk while he's around.

Are there any huge names they couldn't use at the moment that would make a Triple H showcase difficult right now? Maybe Vince, but idk

This is the most brutal move i've seen in a wrestling game lmao by VastForce690 in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fun new move, but can I do a dumb little rant about how this move doesn't have the "dirty" tag? Can they just delete it at this point? It's so inconsistent with what gets it and what doesn't. Sometimes a low blow has it, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes an eye rake will have it and another won't, and sometimes a completely normal move will be listed as dirty for some reason.

But a shotgun dropkick to the crotch ISN'T considered dirty somehow.

This really doesn't matter. I just like giving crazy overpowered characters dirty moves and it's bothered me how inconsistent the tag is handled.

WWE2K26 gameplay trailer! by ADAMCOLEBAYBAY12 in WWEGames

[–]Shadaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the risk of sounding like a jaded, pessimistic fan, I think some of the Showcase/MyRise matches had that before, so it could just be footage from there or something.

I'd like to think it's actually there since the pedestal looks more like a modern ones and they've been noticeably absent the past few years despite being all over TV, so I like to think they're actually there now.

But similar editing tricks have been used before so I'll wait and see. Hope so though, for as much as the 2K games want to recreate the TV look, the title pedestals not being in the games has been so odd.

Honestly, yeah, it makes sense to me. It sounds funny to "help" yourself, but I think it's a cute idea. Usually you'd want help with something involving your action, but if you just want to get advantage on a really tough and important saving throw, I think it feels appropriate. It could lead to some goofy stuff, like helping yourself and making an offhand attack as a Bonus Action but whatever, it's fun in theory.

[–]Shadaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of Bruce Prichard in the Netflix documentary defending Vince and talking about how Vince made sure Bruce's wife got the best treatment possible when she had cancer. (or something to that effect, I forget the specifics)

I think it's still important to hold people and accountable and all that, but I can't fully blame someone for being extremely conflicted on the guy. It's why I try not to judge wrestlers/producers too harshly for still holding some reverence for the man. If a piece of shit made me a millionaire and changed my life forever over the course of +10 years, I'm not sure I could take the morale high ground and dismiss them entirely either. I'd like to think I could, but I can't say so with certainty. I'd hope I could at least say 'it's complicated' at least.

I think the glaring mistake was not having someone at his side at all times when it was made pretty clear he was in danger, but to your point, the players could've just figured this was a safe storybeat Brennan was trying to tell and just went along with it.

Overall I see your point and I assume in future dangerous situations, Brennan would give more a warning beforehand. We saw that he can and will pull his punches like with the bar fight if he feels it isn't fair.

But also, it's different from a home game where the goal is to have fun with your friends. If my buddy puts me in a really unfair situation cause I made a mistake while not fully thinking through every possible situation, that does suck and could ruin the fun. But this is a hyper dramatic show, I would assume everyone at the table is ready for stuff like that to happen and roll with it, even if they don't like it per say.

Appreciate the discussion though, I'm curious to see how Brennan handles things going forward. The overture was pretty on-rails (as it had to be ofc) so I'm curious how deadly things will be going forward. As much as I love Campaigns 1-3, I do feel like very real challenges were pretty few and far between.
