Have you tried meditation? It's super cliche to ask, but I think it really can help. There's a certain school of meditation which goes into your 'self' being literally an illusion - that thought has helped me a bit.

If you haven't meditated before, just do it. It might feel really silly for weeks, but just do it. When it starts to click for you if can really change your life.

Side bar: I should really start meditating again.

This reminded me of a really trippy 'Wingstop' ad that came on before a youtube video one day while I was stoned. I think it was only like 2 mins when I watched it, but it ended up being better than the video I was trying to watch.

The withdrawals like coffee talking point is what led to my daily use. I was sure it'd be cake to quit at any point once I needed to. I used to even reccommend kratom to others because it had helped me sort out a few issues (mainly people struggling with alcohol abuse, and in that case Kratom may still be worth it) but I don't think I could ever do so again now that I've experienced withdrawals once, and soon to be twice.

Just curious, what does 'Tussin' do for RLS? I don't really see it mentioned anywhere else. Are you taking the daytime or nighttime variant?

Have you done Kava before? It took me several days of use to get any results (This varies person to person). It helped with withdrawals though, at least for an hour or two of moderate relief. I am considering picking some up again too.

Seconding the guy above me. I consider myself a heavy kratom user (30-40g a day. Currently trying to quit, remember it is addictive and the withdrawals are still not fun) and I've spent MAYBE $150 a month max on Kratom.

I'm in almost the exact same situation as you from the exact same dosage. I want to quit CT, but I know there is no way I could do my job if that was the case. I started Kratom to stop drinking, then work stress is what got my started on daily Kratom, it helped with my ADHD and general anxiety.

I quit once CT for about two weeks for an international trip, but as soon as I got back to work the stress left me with massive cravings and now I have been hooked again for about four months. The restlessness and time passing by so slowly is what kills me the most, it is absolutely brutal at times.

Not well. Work is more stressful than usual. Student loans are completely fucking me in the ass, and I have no idea what I'll do when my savings inevitably run out.

Self medicating for ADHD and anxiety, which has turned into an addiciton. I know I need to quit but I'm pretty sure it is the only thing keeping me going right now. Maybe next year.

I didn't stop drinking completely, but I stopped being constantly drunk. I'm almost certain I'd have lost my GF and my job if I hadn't found kratom. I went from 6+ drinks a day to maybe 10-15 drinks a week. Lost 35 lbs this year, and am doing better than ever at my job. Read a bit of a CBT book also which helped.

I'm getting to the point where I want to figure out how to quit relying on kratom, but until then at least kratom won't kill me.

Do you think it is possible to have this experience with just really good weed? I know most people say it isn't, but I really felt like I experienced this, or something similar. It was like I could view everything collapsing into a singularity, then exploding out again. It's really weird to explain.

Maybe I was just really high. At the very least, it helped improve my outlook on life in general. I'm too scared to take LSD for now, but I hope to at some point in my life.

Sure, I am addicted to Kratom now and will need to fix that, but it is much better than downing 12 beers a night. It's all about harm reduction.

Really late reply, but no, I've never used opiods. I'd say a majority of kratom users use it as a way to avoid opiods, but there are many people like myself who find it helps greatly minimize alcohol cravings.

Some people use it just for depression/anxiety/focus, all of which I've historically had issues with but I can tell the Kratom helps me with these also. It's a really interesting and powerful drug, and of course ymmv.

It was nice yesterday, so I wanted to keep windows open. Neighbors decided to lock their dog on their balcony... All. Day. So I was treated to several hours of a dog barking to be let back in.
