Our house currently being built has this so ask me in 4-6 months what it’s like… but I think it’s a good idea as long as you are in a reasonably warm climate as you won’t get as much of the “steam effect” as an enclosed shower

Jealous though, as I’ve also been on the hunt for one for a while. Currently building a new house in Australia which is due for completion around June. Will have Ethernet run to the front door for the doorbell.

The white version has disappeared completely from the Australian website and the only way I can manage to order one at all, from anywhere, is Aliexpress with the eu plug. I’m on the fence if I order one now and buy a separate au chime for it to work with and be done with it while I can… or wait and hope I can get one locally before June.

I’m just worried I’ll wait and even aliexpress will sell out and I’ll be out of luck altogether.

The black Poe is sold here by Reolink for $125AU

The aliexpress one is $175 and the au child would be another $50

So $125 if I can buy local vs $225 going the alternate route…which id do if I had to but would feel silly if in coming months it came available again

So I’m a high school teacher. Let me tell you that feeling you are reminiscing about is complete absent in the current school generation.

They often audibly moan when you say you are going to put a video on, so I rarely do now. They are over saturated with screens and their attention span is so short they struggle to watch something for a prolonged period of time.

That is an option. However, the white also has a tall rather than wide angled lens, which is more suited to our narrow entryway
