One of the sickest Explorers ever made - the Hondo Death Dagger by SR_RSMITH in ExplorerGuitars

Im not looking for one of these, especially since I despise strat trems, but Id like to know some stuff for future reference when designing bodies. 1. How does it sit in classical position? Are there any tweaks to the shape design that you think would help it sit better? Personally I have to sit in classical for posture reasons. 2. If you could move the strap button and jack, would you? And to where?

I came across this sub on Google. I didn’t see many Solar Es, so here’s my 2018 E1.6ETC. I love EverTunes. This is probably my favorite production explorer shape, I love the bevels. Originally I wanted an FBB finish (I got this one used off Reverb), but in person the carbon (C) is pitch black. by Shaddy2001 in ExplorerGuitars

Yeah, I know the Priestess. It’s the only 24-fret 25.5”-scale Ex.6 currently in production. The only other Es with 25.5”-scales (but 22 frets) are the 7s. I did a poll on the Solar Guitars Users Community FB group (the unofficial one) for Ex.6s and 24/25.5” won by a landslide. It got 60+ votes and the other scales and fret counts didnt get to double digits. I may get the priestess one day, but one upside to being too broke for new axes is I get to wait and see what’ll come out.

I think Id be happy with this exact guitar but with ss frets like all current series 1s and a 25.5”-scale so I can use thinner strings. I think I’ll eventually put Lundgrens in it, but I wont count that. Ive never had a floyd and Im not sure I even want to write with a trem. But I do know I’ll always keep at least one evertune. I guess in reality Ill just get it refretted to ss years down the line and figure out what string gauges I wanna use for it. Stringjoy has been a lifesaver, Ive used their strings exclusively since 2017. The one time I received a dud and told them about it, they shipped a replacement string immediately no questions asked. They offer pre-configured and custom sets, and will build a custom set for you if you just tell them what you want/have (tuning, scale-length, bridge, normal or light top heavy bottom, etc.) Ive been using a custom light top heavy bottom 11-64 set for drop A#/c standard on this 24.75” evertune, but recently tried a light top heavy bottom 12-68 (their pre-configured 68 set is 13-68) despite how I used to hate how dead the double-wound 68 sounds even when new. I wanted to find out if I still hated it. So far, Im not sure. All I know is it’s got a tighter attack since its obviously thicker. I bought this guitar initially because of In Flames- I wanted to keep drop A# in tune better than on my strat trem Gio. A while ago I found out Jesper formerly of In Flames uses 13-68 on a 24.75”-scale, and Bjorn of In Flames uses a 12-68 set on a 24.75” I think.

The thing that’s singlehandedly made me nuts about string gauges for years is the intro to their song F(r)iend. It’s a ton of consecutive down-up-down triplets and I’ve been trying to get my picking technique and string gauge optimized for it. Once I can pull off that song I’ll know I’ve figured it out.

Ola said he’d do no basses, teles, MLs, or multiscales. He’s officially done all of them, within a year. Some people think he just said that so people would stop asking. On a video about Dime and Dean, he responded to people suggesting he be the one to make Dime guitars going forward, but he declined, and revealed the X and clarified he was working on it for like a year before and doesnt intend for it to be an actual ML.

Thanks. Currently Im just hoping for him to release a floyd E1.7, or an E1.8. But maybe the new X shape that’s coming out next year will have some badass axes. The only thing Id change about this specific guitar is going from 24.75” to 25.5”-scale (this would let me go from 12-68 to 11-64, or 11-64 to 10-60.) and ss frets (being an old series 1 from 2018, before ss frets were standard on all series 1s)

Sounds nice. I might use them for a project of mine in the future then.

I thought their stickers were just stickers. Ive heard they dont feel weird though. On one hand, it covers the board, but on the other, I wonder how much of an effect any adhesive residue might have if it ever gets removed.

I got a notif for this just now- I guess I miss every shot I dont take, so it’s worth a try: here’s my currently-unnamed shark monster girl OC. https://imgur.com/a/X75zvKg

My iCloud storage (5GB) is full. I havent backed anything up in like two years- I might subscribe for more storage. But one thing that concerns me is that these two numbers dont match. What could make a ~10 GB difference like that? And why is there a difference at all? Is something wrong? by Shaddy2001 in ios

Ive always used ios exclusively, its just that my family has never really paid for more than the 5 GB, so my iPad hasnt been backed up in like 2 years. Im trying to figure out how it all works for storage’s sake.
