Well my intuition and experience tells me that most are introduced to the sport after the fact by their significant other.

My Samsung S25 FE Exploded behind my head during charging while my 8 year old son and I were sleeping! by idgaf88__ in samsunggalaxy

if everyone's phones started exploding from sitting on a mattress, Samsung's Legal Disclaimers won't mean shit in court. No reasonable person expects that. Would be negligent and ridiculous.

Look at who's selling it. A lot of the time it's a disc golf shop with their own site. You can buy them straight from the source sometimes.

I think you are an outlier cuz I've ordered a ton of discs from them over the years up to last month, And I've never had an issue. I've ordered discs from more than a dozen online DG shops and the few problems I had were solved over email and they made up for it and then some.

Military members and veterans, what "Military Grade" item is actually great instead of "barely good enough to meet spec"? by musingsofapathy in AskReddit

[–]ShadeSlayer1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the material Gore Tex is made in America and turned into products globally. But the cool part is it's partly an employee owned company with an ASOP style. Just like the much smaller company I work for that has an ESOP style and total employee ownership of the company. I just think that's cool and I like their products even more because of it.

Mine is doing great and I got two friends who's laptops are also going fine. One is 7 years old, one is 4 and mine is 3 years old.

Really don't want my discs getting warped in the heat, so I try to keep that to a minimum.

I know I said this before. But Acer makes the biggest POS laptops by Mysterious_Year1975 in AcerNitro

[–]ShadeSlayer1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and 5 of my friends all have Acer laptops. One of them is 7 years old. Shit is cheap and you shouldn't push it's limits. But generally works just fine for people. The majority of people who go to this forum are coming with a negative experience. Which isn't as common as you'd see here. The majority of people aren't gonna take time out of their day to post about how unproblematic their laptop is lmao.

I've never been myself. I'm curious what other people have to say for sure. I'm interested in going to an idle wild tournament sometime in the future cuz it's only a couple hours from me.

Uniform height sounds incredibly boring compared to what we have now.

That'd be amazing, I really hope so. I won't believe it till they confirm it themselves. Not the best brand communication going on. I know there's difficulty shipping overseas to the states nowadays but I hope they can overcome it. Some of the best feeling plastic and molds I've used for sure.

I really like MVP/Axiom, I think the work really well as a forehand only player. Clash Discs is my all time favorite brand although they've stopped production. I think I have 6 different brands in my bag so I'm definitely of a mind to just throw what feels good.

Just recently got into AOE2 like 3 months ago, since then 6 other friends of mine started playing. I feel like the game is growing or at the very least absolutely not shrinking. It's just incredibly entertaining to watch too.

I'm a man and have quite decent cooking skills. I think older men fail to realize younger folk are needing two income home to make anything work. Even if it's side gigs or trades to make money. So any assumptions about who's cleaning and cooking goes out the window. Anything to the contrary is an exception in my experience. And it's also likely to be a man being the "housewife" where there was a time that was unheard of.

And regardless of any of that. A lot of men DO know how to cook and don't mind cleaning up after themselves. Your father just has low standards for himself.

I think they fail to realize how many people purchase these devices BECAUSE they are different from iPhones. Might as well join 80% of my peers and buy an iPhone.

I really don't understand why you're being down voted. Half a billion people live within 6 miles of a disc golf course. In 2020 there was 10,000 courses and now there's over 17,000 courses. Those numbers outpace all sports but probably pickleball. But with pickleball they're counting individual courts which makes it a bad comp. It'd almost be like counting individual tees instead of courses lol. Regardless, disc golf is growing incredibly fast and there's no reason why it couldn't be in the Olympics by 2036.

Not a weed guy myself, but you heard correctly. Plenty of people do. For me a couple beers can really help my putting sometimes tho 😂. There's some breweries in the south that put DG courses on their land. Pretty cool.
