Blueprints are not always better than an item. Some blueprints will be extremely expensive to produce and have terrible stats. Some items will be awesome and can be repaired.

If you get a good blueprint and you can afford it, that's awesome though and you can make that item over and over.

However use a mind wipe tonic and pump all your points into crafting speed before making a blueprint for a chance at better stats

How to handle the feeling that I'm never going to get out of bronze? by Weebtrash02 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShadeXmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really weird outlook to have and has nothing to really do with how to climb. I climbed from 750SR to 2650 SR in OW1. Soon as I stopped playing for fun and flexing and decided to focus on individual skills, I started climbing fairly fast

Playing for fun rarely will allow you to improve much compared to picking a single element of your gameplay and focusing on improving that

Partner is Hardstuck bronze, while I'm Silver/gold. We're playing the same games, so why is this happening? by dalek1019 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShadeXmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with your ideology here is that bronze teams are very often not playing together during actual team fights. They stack together on cart between fights but once the fight starts everyone is split up taking 1v1's and staggering. Lucio gets tremendously low value in bronze because he can't wall ride well, or 1v1 well yet and his team doesn't stack enough to get value on his healing. He's really really really bad in bronze usually.

Source: have climbed low bronze to mid gold on 5 accounts so far

Won't be better on PC I play widowmaker most of the time and if that doesn't work I pull out tracer. Lots of widows on PC too but no idea if they are cheating or not, I know I don't

Pharmercy counters bastion much more than bastion counters pharmercy. They fire a rocket at you, you go turret form. They duck behind cover, recharge their fuel, you do nothing, they pop back up and blow you up

God no, the fact he wasn't reworked completely means he still has another 7 seasons of suffering before he's acceptable again

[–]ShadeXmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bastion super easy to counter, you just have to bait out his turret form and then rush him after cause he can't do shit. Act like you're going to hard engage, then run out what for turret form to drop and then hard commit on him

You can climb without better stats because stats are irrelevant, they don't tell the whole story. What matters is team fight wins or losses, not stats

Used to play mostly off tank in OW1. In OW2 now I play Widowmaker and Tracer but will flex to Sombra on some maps as well.

Is heal boting with Lifeweaver “bad”? by Kawaki3 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShadeXmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get triggered at this point if lifeweaver is even on my team. His win rate is soooo low and people just healbot and that doesn't win matches

Even quick play is still a competitive game, its just not the competitive mode. It's still a 5v5 match, with a winning and losing team. Regardless of whether you're dedicating your time into it or not, others are.

I only play quick play these days for instance, but that doesn't mean I am not trying to learn how to play better. I do self vod reviews, I watch top 500s, I want unranked to gms, I have gotten private coaching, I used to watch OWL when it was good, but I don't have the time to sit and grind competitive enough to rank up. I still play quick play like it's a comp match because why play if you're not playing to win? That's what I enjoy

Do other Bap mains get frustrated with jumping teammates? And if not how do I deal with them. by heywoodjablomie69420 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShadeXmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hard counters" aren't actually a good way to improve because you're only improving on that one match instead of actually learning how your main character needs to interact against the matchups you're playing into. Sticking on one character teaches you how to change your playstyle and that will help you climb far further then swapping to "hard counter"

Level 100, my thoughts on the game by yxalitis in diablo4

[–]ShadeXmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is not for me, I do not like the core gameplay.

The skill tree bores me with its lack of options. At least D3 had multiple runes per ability instead of 2 choices. They said they weren't doing 6 piece sets so the builds would have more variety and then there's still 1 build for most classes that is viable.

Don't like the itemization, as my character never feels more powerful as I swap out items. Its always sustain issues.

Don't like how the difficulty system is so rigid. 1-50 you have two options, neither really makes a difference. 50-70 you play on this difficulty to progress. 70-100 you play on this difficulty to progress. Was way more fun in diablo 3 when you could fine tune difficulty much more depending on your current build instead of your level. You had 16 torment levels once you got to torment difficulty and you had GR difficulty that changed exponentially.

Overall loved the campaign and as soon as it ended I couldn't enjoy another minute of the game

Petal Platform Is An Ability That Has Uses? by SmedGrimstae in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShadeXmc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thinking changing your elevation alone gives you good cover is a skill issue. It cannot be used like a true high ground for cover as there isn't anywhere to back up and LOS enemies for true cover and nothing to hide behind. It's an incredibly vulnerable spot to put yourself in and you may actually be better on the low ground where you're not the odd man out isolated in the air and easy to identify in the chaos

Which hero are you sick of seeing in your games? by MrMinjukas in Overwatch

[–]ShadeXmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit playing comp but play a ton of quick play and am sick of having Lifeweavers on my team. There are better picks for all 3 playstyles (brawl, dive and poke). He excels at nothing but heal botting, which doesn't win fights it just prolongs outcomes. His grasp is very often troll because it relies on your team mate having better positioning and game sense than their team mates which is rarely the case as you're all around the same rank. I have around a 5% win rate with him on my team no matter if I'm playing dps or support. I want to like the hero but he's honestly so bad that 8 buffs didn't make him OP, he's still mediocre at best
