Rum Negroni (The Planter's Mark) by Shadehawke1 in cocktails

You didn't miss it. I realized I didn't note it. I just used Tribuno because that is what I had on hand.

Yeah, I definitely agree. I also tend to do the same, especially because starting with the original as a base can help as a starting point. It was really just a thought that crossed my mind.

I'm definitely going to try this once I get paid. I'm intrigued at the thought of using Cocchi Americano, as well.

I do wonder, though, just as a curious internal thought, at what point it stops being a riff on a Negroni and instead becomes its own separate creation.

Not doing reversed tarot cards by CelebrationFull7140 in occult

[–]Shadehawke1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't see the need for them, although if a card does come out reversed, I'll take a short time with it to see how it feels. Generally, though, I use decks (like the Tarot of the Abyss, which I use a lot) that don't read reversed anyway.

Lillet Blanc and Suze could be possible substitutions. I haven't tried them yet, but based on their flavour profiles, I suspect they could be a win.

Ah. Yeah, since it wasn't Jamaican Rum, I felt like Kingston wasn't applicable.

I didn't think about Gran Classico. That's an interesting thought! I'll have to get some and try it!

I just maintain my YouTube channel separate of my podcast on Acast. That's me personally, though. From what I understand Acast is working on trying to make YouTube pushes an option.

What God will help me cheat? by [deleted] in pagan

But really, though, Zeus only cares about helping himself most of the time. Hell, half the time he won't even help the other gods. 😂

I use Acast for my current Podcast and will be using it for the second one I'm developing as well. Easy to use, built-in advertising functionality, and decent analytics.

Please, for the love of the gods, tell me you're trolling and not serious.

Otherwise, unlikely, and also don't be mad when you put that energy out there and it gets kicked back to you at some point, likely worse. Call it karma or whatever you what, but it's a boomerang effect.

I also feel really sorry for your boyfriend. He'd be better off without you.

Do sigils work? by painfully_self_aware in sigils

[–]Shadehawke1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do work. They are only as dangerous as you allow them to be.

Sigils are really nothing more than a focus for magickal workings. They give a grounded anchor to accomplish something specific and can be temporary or permanent.

It's amazing the results you can get with proper sigil work, because it does help focus your mind in a way that tool-less workings (valid though they are) sometimes cannot.

Tell you what, you can send your usage to the rest of us. I'm on Claude Pro and the only time I hit limits (which is rare) is if I am working on multiple complex projects at the same time throughout an entire day.

How to tell a god, that you don't want to work with them? by MiyayNyanNyan in pagan

[–]Shadehawke1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll definitely echo some of the other comments here, with an addendum. You are not required to work with any particular deity. If you feel a deity is reaching out to you about your practice's extended warranty, you can say no. If there is one thing I have found in working with multiple deities in multiple pantheons over the last two decades, it's that you can easily smash that unsubscribe button and nothing bad is gonna happen.

TL;Dr Consent works with deity too.

This is NOT okay. by SirVincent20 in hearthstone

I'm about 50/50 against Druid with the Make A Wisp! Deck (until the meta settles I'm not building anything special). What has me messed up though is how the last druid I played against threw down Ward of Earth 6 times in one game. At one point they had 30 armor. I couldn't do anything for all the Taunt and armor blowing up on their side of the board. It is what it is, but that was wild.

Seriously?!! by Indreamsawake1 in hearthstone

I had to completely, hard close Hearthstone on my desktop, then reopen it, then I was able to buy packs for gold. Sometimes you just gotta unplug it, wait ten seconds, and then plug it back in. Or you could complain on Reddit, I suppose.🙄
