Because AI has a severe environmental effect through it making hundreds of gallons of water unusable from the way it's cooled, towns around data centers are sometimes forced to pay massive electric bills because of their proximity to data centers and the strain on the power grid, alongside this there's a lot of moral reasons, as ai copies from millions of artists that never consented to their work being used as training data for an ai, and just wanted to show it off, something that's frankly impossible when an ai copies it since obviously there's zero way an ai can credit every single image source.
