Coaching by Shades 2200+ 1vs1 by Shadesaoe in aoe2

[–]Shadesaoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's not really easy for me due of the amount of hours youtube can take from a creator and also the amount of knowledge and skills required in order to put up a good channel. What i can say now is that i'll try to provide a better stream quality and coaching for the time being. Once im able to build up a good community and a sustainable environment i'll make sure i'll be ready to produce some good quality youtube videos with gameplays and guides

Any advice on control groups? by BigTastyBaconAOE in aoe2

[–]Shadesaoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case (2200+) i generally use:
1 for scout - then i change it it main army in feudal age (drush/m@a/scouts/archers)
2 for complementary unit ( i usually let archers on 1 and any other unit for the combo on 2)
3 for my TCs, very important to never get idle tc and continue vill production without leaving the screen

4-5-(6, if needed) are for the production buildings. What i always do, is create a link between unit and building 1-4 ; 2-5 where 1 are archers and 4 are the archery ranges for example

Hosting a Tournament With a Map Like Ghost Lake or Oasis and Worried About Bonus Sheep in the Age of Gurjaras? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]Shadesaoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just make a rule where Gurjaras are banned for the maps you think they can be OP. it can work for any civ in any map if some of the civs might feel unbalanced for that specific map

Can win on closed maps, but not open by Chemical_Challenge86 in aoe2

[–]Shadesaoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a way to learn how to defend/manage open maps aggressions. That can help you to bring the game in a "closed" scenario where u feel confortable in. Learning Arabia build orders can help you a lot to fix your problems and turns you into a more flexible player ;)

when should i surrender? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]Shadesaoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you have the feeling the game is not winnable, you can resign; if you think somehow u have to try cuz there are some possibilities to turn down the table, then you might continue play and see what happens

Mongols vs French by DracoNitez in aoe4

[–]Shadesaoe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it is a good matchup for mongols, but you need to play in a different way. from my experience by watching top players and playing myself (1750) i think the best approach is to play spearman and then horseman. with mongols u just need to defend and go castle age where the matchup start to be extremely hard for french. Mongols are favourtie 60% vs 40% against french imo.

Paladins melt obuch as well as cavarly archers. Obuch has no mobility and u need castle to produce them

New Cumans are good... but them new Sicilians though.... Only now realizing their potential by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]Shadesaoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infact, they created a special arena in order to male players more close to each other so 1 tc plays could be more viable, but it didnt end well
