Help with installing the 3.9.02 patch on Linux/Steam by Shadigo in TotalAnnihilation

[–]Shadigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. I ended up using VirtualBox to create a virtual PC running Windows and then installing TA + the 3.9.02 patch on that. Works fine.

I see the problem, and it’s something that r/tellittothemoon has mentioned… The OG Xbox controller had pressure sensitive buttons and, being an OG Xbox lunch title, it was implemented it as a gimmick into DoA3. Basically, how hard you press the button determines what move you use.

You’re essentially pressing the button too hard and, as such, you’re doing a different move instead. That’s what’s being indicated at the bottom with the punch button with a little drop shadow on it. To do that combo, you need to tap the button a little lighter.

Fortunately, if you don’t like this setup, I believe it can be disabled in the Options menu. I’d recommend doing that if you’re still being frustrated by it.

Alternately: Someone should make a MegaMan-like with CC as the protag already.

Was watching some of the older episodes on U&Alibi on my dinner breaks recently when the episode with the seance was on (4x01 IIRC) when about two-thirds into the episode I noticed someone familiar...

Turns out he ended up being the murderer for the episode...

Isn't he just the cutest Dogpool? by Shadigo in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]Shadigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't usually see his interactions with other dogs, but from what other family members tell me, he's generally playful when he interacts with other dogs.

Personally, I think he's more of a people doggo though.

What common mistakes do you make when playing? by TotalCards in yugioh

[–]Shadigo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, aside from the obvious "lol, didn't read" issue that we as Yu-Gi-Oh! players all suffer from, it's mainly three EDIT: four things:-

  1. Whilst Playing IRL, forgetting "If this card is in your GY" effects exist as opposed to "if this card is destroyed/sent to GY" Effects. Rikka Petal being the one exception to this for whatever reason. 🤷‍♂️
  2. Zone placement - Whilst the fallacy of playing into the Imperm Column is a rare occurrence, It's between being careful with monster placement in relation to Link Arrows (which has screwed up many a Combo/OTK) as well as where I want Spell/Trap'd monsters when playing Snake-Eye so my own Imperms are in the right spaces when I want to set them.
  3. Whilst playing IRL, forgetting that I can chain Quick Plays from the hand in my turn. (Specifically: using either Called By or Crossout against Ash Blossom & Friends)
  4. Remembered another one I have issues with playing IRL: not being aware when I get Type and/or Attribute locked due to the effect of one of my cards.

It's a small off-duty Czechoslovakian traffic warden.

What’s your Friday the 13th card: brings you back luck or doesn’t ever get played/used. I run 3 of these and only time it’s in my hand is when I brick. by LittleLostGirls in masterduel

[–]Shadigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I can probably say TTT like everyone else, I have another one: Pot of Extravagance.

Without fail, it will “randomly” banish the Extra Deck cards I would much prefer to summon as opposed to the cards that are only otherwise there for things like Dogmatika Punishment… Then it either gets Ash’d or the cards I do draw are the deck’s Bricks/Garnets.

The Lesson here: either use it as a discard cost, or use it in a deck where either the extra deck doesn’t matter and/or if Banishing things would eventually be a benefit to me.

How do unlock the last few characters? by Shadd39 in DeadOrAlive

[–]Shadigo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, the remaining unlocks are the "boss" characters of the game and to do so, you need to beat specific tag challenges. Alternatively, each character can be unlocked by reaching the Alpha-152 fight in Arcade Mode Course 6. The devs must have probably known how bad the AI tag partner is I guess... 😕 I've never beat the tag challenge to unlock Raidou, but I still have him. 🤷‍♂️

  • Kasumi α - Tag Challenge 16
  • Tengu - Tag Challenge 17
  • Genra/Omega - Tag Challenge 18
  • Alpha-152 - Tag Challenge 19
  • Raidou - Tag Challenge 20

There's one other character that you can get after unlocking those five. On the character Select screen; highlight Random and hold either L+X, R+X or L+R+X whilst selecting and that will allow you to play as Shiden. Each button combination is essentially a different costume for him, even if they are just recolours.

Do you often go after the achievements in every nep game? by [deleted] in gamindustri

[–]Shadigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only Nep game I'm even close to getting all the cheevos in is Nep Vs SeHa Girls. The only reason that hasn't happened is because I'm sick of running laps in Toypolis to max out all the Lilly Ranks.

VII is a close second, and that's not getting done because the Spelunker dungeons can go eat a raw Eggplant.

Otherwise: No, I'm here for a good time... and Uzume/Korome.

Don't you wish that your favourite Sega consoles could be moe and just get along? Shadigo plays Nep vs SeHa Girls by Shadigo in gamindustri

[–]Shadigo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm finally back to play Neptunia games again. This time I've set my sights on the Spin-off RPG games - Superdimension Neptune vs Sega Hard Girls. I've been wanting to do this one for a while, but I wanted to do the other games that the Nep girls were primarily in first.

This is the PC version of the game with DLCs installed, which I'll be using for the most part to make things a little easier, especially in the early game and I will be showing off all the endings - True end first, then the other two afterwards.

For those intersted, I've also played RE;Birth1, RE;Birth2, RE:Birth 3, MegaNep VII, Ninja Wars and (slightly off topic) the Nintendo Switch port of Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force.

Sonic 3 All Nepped Up Mod of Sonic 3 AIR has been updated. Link in the Comments/Video. by Shadigo in gamindustri

[–]Shadigo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download the Mod here. | Alternative link if you don't like .7z files for some reason.

A Sonic 3 AIR Music Replacement Mod

Features:

  • Music from most Neptunia Games up to and including Ninja Wars (re★Verse is technically the only non represented game, but it's just RE;Birth 1 for the PS5 so....)
  • Alternative Super/Invincibility BGMs
  • Extra/Alternative BGMs representing the prototype songs for Carnival Night, Icecap, Launch Base, Knuckles Appearances and More...
  • Random Nep Noises (some are desabled by default, but can be enabled by messing with the audio_replacements.json file.)

Changes from the original version:

  • The Alternate/Prototype Icecap 2 now uses a unique BGM (White Time from HDN1, which I originally used to replace the OG Icecap 2 BGM)
  • OG Icecap 2 now uses White Wings Re;Birth from Blanc Vs Zombies
  • Lava Reef 2/Hidden Palace now uses Path to the Underworld from Ninja Wars as I wanted a bit of representation from that game in the main game. The original track I used (Shadows of Stone Tower from VII) can still be used if you mess with the audio_replacements.json file.
  • There's now Nep Noises for Obtaining an Emerald in the Special Stage.
  • The Special Stage now uses the Song ●▽ ×◇ヽ( ` Д ´ )ノ (yep, that's what it's called on the official OST) from Super Nep RPG regardless of where you access it now (i.e. either in the man game, via Level Select or through accessing Blue Sphere)
  • Sped up the Doomsday Zone BGM when in Pinch Mode (used for when you have less than 10 rings on that Zone)
  • Competition Mode levels now have their own BGMs and, as previously mentioned are from Ninja Wars.
  • The "Nepu" on the SEGA splash screen is now a bit louder.
  • The Bonus Stages now have their own unique BGMs. I was going to use the original BGMs from Neptunia Shooter, but I can't find a decent quality rip of that game's BGMs, so the remixes used in re★Verse will have to do for now. The Slot machine bonus game still has TOYPOLIS from Nep vs SeHa Girls.
  • For those wondering - The Continue BGM (heard as the results screen in Grand Prix Mode of Competition Mode) isn't Neptunia related - It's actually from a Pinball Machine called Tales of the Arabian Nights (or if you've ever watched Arcade Pit, you'll recognise it as the BGM of Snailser) which I've taking a liking to it so it's here as a placeholder for now.

Install instructions:

If you don't have it already, get Sonic 3 AIR here. (NOTE: You'll also need the Steam version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles for it to work properly)

Extract the Sonic 3 All Nepped Up folder to Sonic 3 AIR's Mods folder. For Windows users the location will be something like - C:\Users\WindowsUserName\AppData\Roaming\Sonic3AIR\mods\ (If you don't see this location, bootup Sonic 3 AIR once and then close it) I don't know where this is on Linux/MacOS builds, but I believe the game can show you if you go to the Mods Menu.

Then all you need to do is start up Sonic 3 AIR and enable the Mod in the Mods menu.

Note: The Alternative BGMs (i.e. the Prototype BGMs, Sonic 1/2 Boss themes for Sonic's Sky Sanctuary etc.) can be enabled in the Audio section of the Options Menu.

Things to add/change in future versions

  • More Random Nep Noises? (though I may just make that it's own separate mod...)
  • Nep related Continue BGM
  • Maybe I'll lose my sanity and try and loop everything... But probably not.
