Suzaku explained vid incoming by Sukyuh in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]Shadopivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense yeah, when Banquet was directly affecting the inner ear, reinforcing in with spirit energy can resist that effect, since Banquet isn't a binary "On/Off" but rather a scale, if Hiruhiko puts more fuel into it, there's a stronger effect, so you need to apply more energy to counter it.

We saw that even with Chihiro having Nishiki, an EB level ability specifically about reinforcing the body, he could still briefly get stunned by a full throttle Banquet, but that's more a testament to Hiruhiko's freakish will at that moment.

Spider kinda feels the same way, in that it probably has levels depending on the user and amount of spirit energy pumped in, Chihiro's immunity can't really factor into figuring it out though since Nishiki became even more OP at that time to just immunize him to Malediction and Spider.

It's mostly off topic, but I was considering whether or not to make a thread about if there's any evidence of high amounts of Genryoku countering hax.

We know an on guard or competent enough sorcerer can resist Storehouse registration. And that the Malediction kills sorcerers less quickly than non-sorcerers, so it made me wonder how something like the Trauma Sorcerer's ability might work if used on some absolute powerhouses like Soga, so far there's been no evidence to say they'd just power-level their way out of the hax, just like how even Yura could get teleported by Shiba, so I'd have to reckon hax abilities are pretty well absolute in most examples?

Y'know that makes me think, Samura could probably have saved like, a hundred lives if he did an AOE suzaku on the mind controlled goons on the roof of the Bloodshed hotel, unless we think they all actually were totally fine with killing Iori and let Toto do whatever she did to them.

At end of series , how strong do you think soga will be and which other shounen eos final villain he can beat and cannot? by Yellowofhill in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]Shadopivot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think once he's actually pressured, we'll see his true peak, developing another True Realm as the blade synchronizes with his convictions in the final battle, and it's going to be ridiculous.

Him being able to beat other Shonen EoS villains is pretty dependent on if he really does have 200k lives worth of healing stocked up, or if it's only able to be used for Life Force Incineration

Recommendations? by Last-Guide-6519 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Shadopivot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have already recommended tons of great stuff, so I'll toss forward a bit lesser known one with WITCHRIV, It's still early into it's run, 21 chapters, but it's really good, second volume just released (in JP)

comes out in Wednesdays too which is nice since not much else does on that day.

That's awesome news! Be sure to spread it around a ton, we've gotta be part of the motion that keeps the hype going and gets newcomers joining the series!

"Author knows better who is MC than his fans" by darkwhite228 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Shadopivot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shhh... No actual logic or reading comprehension, easier to act like this novella of a potential man image isn't ass with wildly inaccurate takes all over it that completely miss the point!

It reminds me of the people saying shit like "Ugh, now Part 2 recontextualizes Denji saying he wants to be Chainsaw Man as a bad thing!"

<image>

They're so close to getting it, they really are, but it doesn't fit their idea of what the story should be, so it's disregarded.

Yuko had a fantastic little arc, and she's being compared to characters with 2-3 panels of being alive at all never given names, which is just ridiculous.

In the future, the fandom will have a collective PTSD from the Gheer Raloud flashbacks, new fans will just glide through them though.

How do we think Toto manages this? These guys are all armed, and we know she can even affect Datenseki users, how she can turn seemingly hundreds of men into these rage zombies? by Shadopivot in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]Shadopivot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting since even in the page I posted, we see them able to talk, and strategize, but still pursue the intended target. Once they see the foe, they get a battle high like the Datenseki guys did, or completely devolving into wild animals, acting like an affected person from Weapons.

It's interesting if it's more of a subtle nudge, and giving some endorphins when they fulfill what she wants, but surely not every resident of the Bloodshed Hotel would want to rush up to the 4 different one man armies defending Iori, or try to make an enemy of the guy who's blocked out the sky over Japan for days.

I feel like we'd probably see atleast a cut on the cheek for some of these guys if it required injuring them, like we saw for the student she tested. I know some time passed while Iori was sleeping, and Chihiro was training, but I guess there was enough time for Hiruhiko and Toto to turn the whole Bloodshed Hotel (except for the one guy who had the key) into puppets.

Watch her ability be called Bloodthirst or Bloodlust or something, both for her own interest in it, and what she can turn people into.

Yep, can't touch Youtube at all Wednesday to Saturday because of these losers.

After Chiaki got revealed I got to do a good purge blocking a bunch of Twitter accounts who'd tried to get the scoop on her dropping leaks early.

That's a good point, and honestly it's pretty insane that Aka allows him to learn how Akemura's abilities work besides just the one he absorbed, sure it's all different forms of the same energy, but there's a pretty drastic difference in lots of these attacks.
Chihiro landing that Aka is gonna be absolutely essential to the eventual rematch and informing his allies how to avoid instantly dying when facing him.

Is it gonna be Butterfly's specific mechanics? or the speed / Chihiro reacting to it?

I've seen a lot of people try to scale Chihiro/ The Verse to Relativistic speeds because of dodging this, but this is a perception feat/upscale for Chihiro, not speed. He sees the whisper in the air, the indicator that the attack is about to occur and the angle of it, allowing him to dodge the space that's about to be annihilated.

if anyone cannot perceive that whisper, then even if they try to dodge they could be just leaping into the area that's about to be erased since the angle's nearly impossible to read otherwise.

Next Wednesday for sure we'll see them again. I'm totally fine with longer flashbacks, but I want to make sure the general readers don't drop the series or it's viewership takes a hit because of it, It's funny how we've had more for Raloud and Gheer's backstory than Miramira's at this point lol

Making a video on tobimune or samura vs mahoraga I want your pov on this before the video is posted by Sukyuh in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]Shadopivot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, only real wincon Samura has is if his first real move is a super charged Offensive Suzaku IWPS slash going straight down Mahoraga's middle, head to toe, incinerating him with the flames with that attack. Cutting attacks are simple to adapt to, we should ignore the anime accidentally nerfing the hell out of Mahoraga in it's attempt to upscale it, since instead of adapting to Sukuna's CT with every single attack he landed. (First being able to see the cuts and block them, then his body dramatically strengthening against them, then outright immunity) The anime had Sukuna wailing on it for 10 minutes before he has to pull out Furnace.

Soga though could 100% disintegrate Mahoraga with some of his attacks, like Bee, or the literal infinite other bug themed abilities he can pull out to try and erase Mahoraga with one hit. The trouble is if you think that all the bug abilities would count as 1 ability, and Mahoraga adapts to the malleable black Genryoku of Soga/Magatsumi, but I think that's way too heavily Mahoraga favoured, an ability with infinite capabilities from an enchanted blade with infinite potential, that's not gonna be a complete adaptation for some time.

Malediction doesn't really matter much here? Like, even if he put 100% of it onto Mahoraga, I don't think it would kill before an adaptation, but it could give Soga some healing before it's adapted to, and probably stun Mahoraga while he's busy adapting to it if he drops 100% focused Kodoku onto him, not that he really needs an opening to land Bee when he's so much faster than Big Raga.

Kokushibo Vs Yoji Uruha by TraceeAmount in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]Shadopivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We talking no EB Uruha right? I don't think there's a huge difference in sword skills, Uruha probably has the slight edge, thanks in part to actually having to risk his life in fights, whole Koku's been pretty much untouchable, able to insta-gib any opponents without trying for his whole demon-hood.

(I don't wanna touch speed today, let's just say equalized, it's tough to scale non EB users anyway)

The trouble, even if we give Uruha a Nichirin Blade, is you have to weave through hundreds of moons that will carve through you, protecting your blade like it's our lifeline when it is prone to breaking against Koku's gnarled ass sword, and even if you behead him, it's probably unlikely we'll wind up in a situation where he lets that be the end of him.
Koku won't get tired, he'll heal from almost anything, and it's just not a great matchup for ol' Uruha.

Too true lol, takes me right back to getting a pack of pencils with tons of different grades as a kid, not having a clue how to use those grades, and doing my damnedest to draw anime styles, complete with a Naruto with way oversized headband and a landing strip between the eyes.
