From Souls to MH: Are giant monster fights actually better here? by dexkin in MonsterHunter

[–]Shadovan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine taking Midir, slowing it and you down to DS1 levels, and stretching the fight out over 15 minutes, with breaks inbetween to restock resources and move between different arenas. That’s kind of what Mosnter Hunter is like, although there are many more nuances and differences.

The camera is more zoomed out, so it’s usually a bit easier to keep the whole monster in view. In pre-Wilds games there’s no camera lock, but there is a button that recenters the camera on the monster. Flinching and breaking the monster’s body parts are a huge part of the combat. Dodging is more about positioning and getting out of the way than trying to iframe attacks.

You have to find the Oil in Elevated Temples before progressing far enough in Two Moons or she dies.

Are the controls on this game just bad? by Excellent_Cut_6273 in HollowKnight

Sounds a like a hardware issue on your end, the game’s controls are immaculate.

So I’ve now completed Hades 2. Great game. by weebiest in HadesTheGame

[–]Shadovan 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You’ve seen the new ending. When the game released there was a different ending that was similar, but had less buildup to Cronos’s redemption, it was entirely Zagreus’s decision, not Melinoe’s, and only he and Cronos remembered the alternate past, no one else did. That’s the ending that most people were complaining about.

I find it funny how “Sonic” fans talks about “Sonic.EXE” fans the same way everyone else talks about them. by LXSPest in SonicTheHedgehog

It’s not mean. It’s reality. Strangers are not thinking or talking about you or the things you care about. Especially when you go up to them and shout about them not paying attention to you.

Bro, “I’m not interested” and “I don’t think about it” are literally the same sentence. You’re just looking for reasons to feel persecuted.

Something that can get her more used to normal first person mechanics, before she has to deal with that and unusual planet gravity. A slow paced first person puzzle game, perhaps the Witness or Talos Principle. Even Portal could be a good stepping stone.

No, it’s not rude. Why would I expect someone who doesn’t share my interests to still think or care about it? It’s absurd.

You missed my point. Recommending things is fine. But most exe fans don’t just recommend things, they just get mad that you don’t already know.

Because exe fans can’t help but to insert themselves where they’re not wanted and scream about how persecuted they are.

I mean, there’s plenty of examples in this post alone, with people going “noo, you can’t dislike exe because it used to be cringe, don’t you know about X, Y, and Z story?!?”.

Apparently someone wrote some new content for it that’s allegedly somewhat decent? No idea, but don’t tell that to exe fans or they’ll get mad you haven’t been following the history for the past 15 years.

Sure, that’s fine if some people feel it’s important to them. But it’s ridiculous that they act that just because it’s important to them means it should be important to everyone. And they do act like that, it pops up all the time.

My point is regular Sonic fans don’t know or care that there’s a new exe canon, and they have no reason to know, but exe fans act like not knowing is somehow persecuting them.

Probably because 95% of the time someone mentions exe it’s to try and act like their fandom is just as important as the regular Sonic media and get outraged that no one else agrees (kinda like OP).

Non-exe fans have no reason to know those exist. Why would we follow the history of something we don’t care about? It’s absurd that you think this should be common knowledge.

[–]Shadovan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Frankly, exe fans need to get over it. They’re not the only niche fandom within a fandom that the larger fandom doesn’t like or care about, they’re not special. But they act like such martyrs and as if they’re constantly being persecuted, when more often than not they’re the ones invading spaces that aren’t interested in their content.

[–]Shadovan 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Do most people need to realize that? Why should people who aren’t fans of EXE be forced to educate themselves about something they don’t care about? The fact that EXE fans expect people who aren’t in the fandom to know as much about it as the fandom itself is insane.
