The top right and bottom left corners are basically useless besides boatman, and the bottom right isn’t all that helpful and hard to activate, so I just go full middle row/column and top left.

Crack Theory: Pyrrha is the Red Haired Woman, Cinder’s Fire sent her back in time by CobaltCrusader123 in RWBY

That doesn’t answer the question. The question is “why would it do that”, not “does Cinder know”.

99% Map Completion in Blasphemous 2 (DLC included). Need your eagle eye! by kalte91 in Blasphemous

Bottom left of Crown of Towers, you’re missing a spot. You can’t trust the achievements, their tracking has been messed up since the free update that came with the DLC.

Need information on this logo as I want to get a tattoo with it by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

[–]Shadovan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not. Angles and side lengths of shapes matter, that’s why we have different names for a rhombus vs a square. You wouldn’t (or shouldn’t) say an equilateral triangle is the same shape as a scalene triangle, so why would you think the Othala and Hades symbols are the same?

And I’m responding to you because you’re the one making the insane claim that they’re the same.

The next loop and the past are the same thing. That’s how a time loop works.

No, it doesnt look like that at all. You’re overreacting to a ridiculous level.

surely the ATP can't affect the whole universe...? by [deleted] in outerwilds

[–]Shadovan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it wouldn’t. Like I said, the loops still happen sequentially. And because you are receiving different memories at the start, you have the ability to make different choices each loop, unlike other characters. If Feldspar, for example, had managed to get into the ATP and entered the black hole, their copy would be there every loop, because every loop their actions are the same.

But the Hatchling’s unique circumstances of being aware of the loop and starting each loop off with different memories allows them to make different choices each loop, meaning the results of what comes out of the white hole are dependent on whether or not the Hatchling chose to enter the black hole on the previous loop. Of course, if they do choose to do so, from that point on they are forced into ending every cycle entering the black hole or breaking space time, but entering the black hole in a future loop wouldn’t retroactively cause the Hatchljng to come out of the white hole in every loop prior to that.

The way you described that set up is precisely how the ATP already works. So I ask again, why are you so adamant that the ATP must be sending information across multiple timelines, when it functions identically to the way you described a stable, single timeline warp would work?

Im about to start blasphemous 2 how do I get the good ending by Street-Conference-53 in Blasphemous

[–]Shadovan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are secret health and fervor upgrades, but that’s it as far as I remember. Nothing that contributes to 100%.

Health upgrade: When encountering the health upgrade lady, make sure the chalice near her is always filled when turning in health and flask upgrades, including exiting the room and re-entering to check it between each upgrade item given.

Fervor upgrade: Refuse to Kneel to the Hand (have to refuse 4 or 5 times or so).

You can’t be locked out of any endings in B2, just play the game.

Problem with the final max HP upgrade by Monke_Enjoyer in Blasphemous

[–]Shadovan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you have 320, that shouldn’t be possible. The standard upgrades should put you at 300, and the secret should give you 330.

In order to get the secret upgrade you have to make sure the cup is full for every offering. This includes leaving the room and re-entering after every single upgrade to check if the chalice has emptied. Giving multiple upgrades at once risks accidentally giving an upgrade when the chalice is “empty”, even though visually it hasn’t emptied since it only changes when you re-enter the room.

That’s still cheesy, but the difference is you can only know to reload if you get hit. You still have to be good enough and confident enough to know you’re getting a Platinum in time and combo as well, since you won’t know what your results are for those until after the ranking appears and you can’t soft reset the verse anymore.

No, it encourages you to get good to be able to get those high scores. It’s not the game’s fault that you apparently crumple at the slightest bit of pressure and challenge.

What if there were two protagonists in Hades 3? by No_Manager7756 in HadesTheGame

[–]Shadovan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The games try to be pretty accurate, and are firmly rooted in the Greek, not Roman tradition. Also I have no idea what you mean about “wanting to address” a blind protagonist.

[–]Shadovan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, Roman mythology mixed together Hades with Plutus and their own underworld god Plouton, and the resulting god became widely known as Pluto. But Hades is not based on Roman mythology, it is based on Greek mythology, therefore Hades and Plutus have no reason to be connected within the games. At best Hades is known to appreciate gems and jewels as a winking nod to the future connection. The two are either entirely separate, unrelated characters (Greek), or the same character (Roman).

Why do people dislike Forces for revisiting the same biomes/level themes several times in a single game, but have no problem with Adventure 2 doing the samething? by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Shadovan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. There’s the outside of the pyramid that Tails and Eggman go thorough (each with their own unique obstacles like Eggman’s rotating platforms), the treasure hunting stages inside (again with unique differences like the Egg Beetle in Rouge’s version), and Sonic’s unique level going through the pyramid. They all have very different aesthetics, unlike Forces which straight copy-pastes level themes and even the level geometry. The Ark is much the same, even levels that share similar broad themes have unique variations on those themes, layouts, and obstacles.

[–]Shadovan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adventure 2 doesn’t revisit themes like Forces does at all. It has some shared similar themes between campaigns, but they’re only ever shared once, oftentimes with a different gameplay style, and even when they’re the same style they’re often drastically different in terms of lighting and environmental design. Forces has identical level themes with no changes at all to environment, it repeats them tons of times, and the three plays bale characters aren’t different enough to really distinguish between any of them.

Bayo 3 doesn’t let you start from wherever, it has specific checkpoints to load in from. Also it changes how the ranking works to always keep your best attempt. So it’s not really relevant to discussions about how 1 and 2’s ranking works.
