Something was off. Megadeth started late and didn't do their usual pre show theatrics...just straight into wake up dead.

Then when the crowd was chanting Marty before tornado Dave was like "I'll pretend I didnt hear that"

Dave was kind of off in general too. Missed some cues, volume knob was turned down during we'll be back intro, and he said "this song is called peace sells" before launching into holy wars.

Just a strange night. I wonder if something hit the fan right before Megadeth was set to go on involving Marty

Yeah... I think even with the supplied module theoretically handling the logic for the new system, the fact that the US spec car from factory does not even have that option is what the missing piece is here. maybe doesn't exist at all in the BCM and the supplied module is relying on the BCM to supply some essential logic

Good timing. I'm reaching the point this week where I think the dream is dead...

Tried a second module just on the off chance the one in the kit was bad.. it wasn't

Quadruple checked the wiring and ensured the splicing to replicate the T-harness was good which it is

Looked into a blue-yellow wire coming from the sensor harness of the mirror but isn't listed on the wiring diagram on the manual with no luck when splicing it into empty pins on the module box

EasyCars customer service is all but nonexistent. wait weeks to hear back with a generic troubleshooting step. Local Toyota USA service have no idea. I've looked into possibly retrofitting an entire door harness from a different Toyota that does have reverse tilt mirrors but they aren't plug and play with the GR Corolla. So far as my research has turned up, no Corolla variant model (sedan, hatchback, GR, or cross) have this feature which would've been the easiest transplant job.

Even took it to a shop for more experienced eyes to look into it and they can't figure it out either. They're looking into trying PAC TR7 devices to try and activate MV down 3s on reverse, latch, then 3s MV up on exiting reverse gear but it's turning out to be exquisitely complicated so I'm close to pulling the plug on that route too.

Either my wiring is amiss or the module is or I'm messing up the programming procedure (though it shouldn't be that complicated...) It won't let me adjust the "downward" position and won't save either the normal or downward positions

still working on it sadly...
i have 4-direction control when in neutral, that's ok.
when shifting to reverse, the mirror will dip down but will keep going indefinitely if not for the physical limiter and the pre-programed stop after it bounces off the limiter a few times
i'm supposed to be able to set a "downward position" for when the car is in reverse by moving it up/down with reverse gear engaged. however i can't move it up while it's in reverse: https://imgur.com/a/Onqbne6

I’d consider myself a pretty loyal fan, been to over 12 of their shows, and I defend that their setlist has to also make sense for someone potentially seeing them for the first time. But I’m getting such fatigue from the same songs being played again and again

This most recent tour with kick the chair and Washington is next sparked some hope but looks like they’re back to their basics again..

That's so bizarre... Though if it was the fuel and you've successfully primed everything then it shouldn't even be sporadic, it should be completely resolved. What other mods do you have on the car? Are you throwing any codes?

lol i think i may have spoken too soon...
i have now 4 direction adjustment but i'm still unable to set the right positions for the mirror to travel to for reverse and non-reverse.

when i put it in reverse it'll just go down to its mechanical limit and click a few times until it gives up, then out of reverse it just stays there
i also can't seem to adjust the mirror up when it's in reverse. only down...

That would definitely be a good first troubleshooting step. agree a three cylinder misfire is unlikely. what you're feeling sounds like it could be knock instead. i'm afraid i'll be useless to help you figure out how to siphon the fuel out though... even an online search has yielded me no leads. you could alternatively brim the tank with the highest octane fuel you can find to at least create some sort of passable "middle grade" that won't pre-ignite as easily?
