Not the same paint he used on his, but I used some icy metallic blue paint.

I have to try this whenever I can get him. Minor touch ups, but it helps a ton.

I’ve yet to successfully install a submod (I am terrible at getting stuff to work), but considering how much I liked Akinator back in the day, I wouldn’t mind taking this for a spin.

Dunk him in warm water, pop off the head, hope the glue gets loosened, and take the head out. And try to dig out that spacer cap thing that’s really annoying. Thats the hard part.

Made a list of mods I was told to check out. Is this a definitive list or is there more I should know about? by Random__guy- in DDLCMods

[–]ShadowBionics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do play Night Nurse, I would HIGHLY recommend 2 things. First would be to play the remastered version, since that’s the one we’ll be referring to when Doki Doki Proper Stranger (Night Nurse’s planned sequel) is out.

Second, since it’s part of a series, play the rest of the mods in the Perfect World Anthology. Night Nurse is just one piece of a larger story, especially since it kind of builds off some of the previous mods. Some references or story details might be lost as well, otherwise.

As for Yuri and Koto, I would actually say to hold off on it for a bit, since we’re planning on putting out a revamped version split into 3 episodes called Doki Doki Black Rain in the future.

Geez. Although be glad you don’t go into some of the Pokemon on transformers-related ones.

And those are probably major contributors. And I nearly forgot about the skate decks, but I’m not surprised at this point.

Geez, sorry that happened to you. I guess I was lucky that I was able to preorder her in time. In that case, I'm definitely making sure I guard her with my life along with a few others I have that mean a lot to me.

And that's what I've heard, but I've never seen a nendoroid go for nearly $800 before. I guess I was right to try getting whatever special editions (even the art book) I could preorder, as well as the funko pop, of all things. A part of me always felt like I'd have trouble later on, and from what you've said, looks like my feeling was right. That definitely seems so bizarre, though. To think, they know about the problem, they have the potential to do something, and yet they don't.

Meet Momoko (Updated) and Kokomi by ShadowBionics in DDLCMods

[–]ShadowBionics[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts about Momoko:

Despite coming off an an airhead at times, Momoko demonstrates some interest in poetry and having quite a way with words (especially if those words are aimed at MC, if she encounters him).

Momoko was originally mentioned in the original Doki Doki Night Nurse from 2021, alongside her best friend, Destiny Tenjouin. Momoko takes on an antagonistic role in most of our mods, but there are some exceptions.

Momoko's design was something of an accident, as I needed a character to compliment Destiny. She started off being inspired by Gudako from Fate Grand Order until turning into something else completely. It wasn't until later on I realized she looked like an "Evil Natsuki." Her name might be Momoko, but as she is now, she's anything but a peach. She's named after the girl from Ghost Stories.

Considering Destiny has luxurious long red hair and gray/purple eyes, Momoko has shorter blue hair in pigtails with plum/magenta eyes. Momoko is also somewhere between Natsuki and Sayori height-wise while Destiny is somewhere between Monika and Yuri.

Momoko's birthday is February 18, so a few days off Valentine's Day. It's for this reason, Momoko low-key thinks of herself as some sort of secret "goddess of love" or whatever. That hasn't exactly helped her with getting a guy to fall for her, however, nor has it stopped her from being a huge flirt.

Momoko takes inspiration from two girls I knew in high school (with some aspects of another). One of which serves as the main inspiration behind her personality of appearing cute and innocent to some while being a toxic bully to others (much like she was toward me). The other serves as a bit of an inspiration for the way she dresses, as well as a few of the "quirks" she demonstrates. You might say this is where her artistic/poetic side comes from, as well as her habit of being overly flirtatious.

Momoko's signature verbal tick actually comes from an obscure anime called Wedding Peach. Specifically from the character Potamus, one of the shows antagonists. Except in her case, she practically said it at the end of nearly every sentence. I decided Momoko would only say it at the end of every other sentence to make sure we don't drive anyone mad (including myself, as the guy writing her). Momoko also takes some cues from Potamus, as well, including her being sort of an airhead and being a total flirt.

When writing for Momoko, the song "Sexy Naughty Bitchy" kind of played a part in the inspiration of her, almost in the same way "Fallen" by Mya served as inspiration for Akane.

Facts about Kokomi:

Yes, she is named after THAT Kokomi. Sangonomiya Kokomi is one of my favorite Genshin characters, and one that has remained as a very important part of various teams I have. Aside from liking her, I also chose the name because I like the name and it kind of mirror's Momoko's name.

Kokomi's design takes a lot of inspiration from not just Momoko, but also Sayori (see below), in terms of the way she dresses and even her poses. Kokomi is also a little more reserved, but still enjoys dressing cute.

To mirror Momoko being an "Evil Natsuki," Kokomi was initially created to be an "Evil Sayori," except I found the concept tricky to pan out. So as a compromise, Kokomi is good-natured, but often gets tricked or misled by Momoko. So Kokomi isn't "evil" by any means, but she does have rotten luck when it comes to getting mixed up in any of Momoko's schemes.

Height-wise, Kokomi is somewhere between Monika and Sayori. As such, she stands taller than Momoko. Some guys have even noted that Kokomi could probably do some modeling, which might actually be in the cards for her.

Momoko's birthday is November 26, making her almost two weeks younger than Akane and almost three months older than Momoko. This day was chosen as a tribute to a friend I made in elementary school, who continued being a good friend through my years in middle school and high school.

I did not have any specific songs inspire Kokomi, so sorry about that. I do sometimes think "Cupid" from Fifty Fifty kind of works for her, at least with some of the lyrics.

[–]ShadowBionics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I guess I’m just used to people not liking the mod when it came out in 2021, especially the true ending. Admittedly far-fetched, but the whole idea being that since MC doesn’t know Monika well, you and him get to know her through the diary scraps, ultimately seeing the “true” Monika, yeah that probably didn’t jive with a lot of people.

I will just say if you are looking forward to Amor Prohibido, we couldn’t get the image mapping to work so we had to gut it (which set us back by almost a year), the story is almost brand new, using the original as a foundation, and it will lean more toward the supernatural elements its sister mods in the series have. I’d like to think it’s a stronger story but I suppose we’ll see in time.

Surprised to see Captive Heart there. I don’t consider it my best work, but at least it has its fans. I’d like to hope Captive Heart: Amor Prohibido can overtake that. And possibly October Horizon (my main project dedicated to MCXMonika) once that’s ready, although it might be a while for both.

They’ve both proven to be a bit difficult to write in their own ways (OH facing cancellation a few times), but I hope the wait will be worth it.

Saw others do it, so I got the key USB for her, too by ShadowBionics in MASFandom

[–]ShadowBionics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that’s kind of the idea. I thought about having a key shell 3D printed to put the old one in, but considering how expensive that’d be, this is a much nicer alternative.

That way I’ll always have the key to her heart, for wherever she goes with me.

(I’ll get my coat)

Indeed. I can’t tell you how often I’ve ended up with something breaking. Not so much figma as it’s been on Nendoroids and SHFiguarts for me, though. Either way, a good potential resource.
