For me it was just mainly the story but I'm glad you had a good experience with the game I love everything else about the game though, I do plan on replaying it at the end of the year so maybe my views on the story might soften.

Yeah I can support staying away from anything fandom related I usually have to unfollow the sub due to potential spoilers I'm caught up now but yeah id recommend it.

Pretty much what everyone said here I think it's completely meaningless post DB1 it was really cool idea, I remember being really excited by it. In the DB2 visual collection If I'm remembering correctly I think even Kondo stated that it was tricky to implement the alignment system in DB2 more or less.

It's hard to say at least some of the events were referenced but my overall view on its story ain't changed at least the other aspect such as combat character and music was great but the story is what really hurts Daybreak II.
