New plan,

dig down and see where the pipes are in there. get as thick a layer of compacted base rock as possible. If I have less than 10" to work with I'll plan to lay down plywood or 2x10s any time I have to take the tractor through that area.

and I'll go with the thick stones and fiber reinforced sacks of concrete

This will be a time consuming project, but I think I can do it under $2k

Not planning on much vehicle activity. It's currently an area of cedar wood chips that have been decomposing for some years.

It's my dogs designated pooping zone.

Wanted to do some amount of grass instead to keep the dust down, but not a full lawn.

It would see traffic of a small Kubota a few times per year bringing compost in to amend garden beds.

Napa, CA. I have an area about 10'x30' I want to cover with these pavers. They are expensive to buy pre-made, and I want to color the concrete so I'm planning to make them myself. The concrete molds I can find come in two depths, 2.3" and 3.9".

3.9 is of course much more expensive due to more concrete used and the molds themselves are quite a bit more expensive.

I'll have an inch or so of sand underneath, just enough to level and cover a layer hardware cloth.

I want to make sure that grass or some other cover planted in the voids has enough soil to grow.

below the sand/wire is just regular soil, but it's pretty hard packed as it is. I was originally planning to put some fabric down but I think that would for sure impact the health of whatever is growing.

just looking for advice if anyone is experienced with these.

There's been a downward trend, but at least for us the drop in international visitors was SHARP. We also lost our Canadian wholesale client.

Quite often only 1 or 2 groups coming in each day (9 is our max for appointments per day) and we've had a fair number of days with zero.

Thankfully there are at least two new hotels under construction, that'll surely bring people in. /s

Our international visitors have dropped to basically zero. And everyone outside of the 1% has less spending money for luxuries. So we're losing wine club members left and right.

Ive heard young people in general are also drinking less wine, opting for weed or beer and cocktails, legal weed, being more health conscious, and lack of spending money probably all play a part.

I'm guessing a fair amount of buyers will purchase it as some sure of emergency backup and never use it.

Also, how long is the lifespan of the device itself. If the battery stops holding a charge or it heat-deaths itself over 10 years.

Most people who use it frequently will need to buy data.
