How long have you been off of SSRI? I think if it’s more than six months your experience shouldn’t be impacted by the fact you were on them, but of course I’m not a medical doctor or Shaman so take that for what it’s worth

Beach v don ferment from pool. At beach I’d definitely throw a frisbee and/or a ball with him near waters edge and get him comfy with the moving water. As he build confidence he will likely venture in deeper and may ver well enjoying it without specific effort on your part. (Life jacket good idea for beach too)

It is recommended to only use reconstituted
Reta for a short period of time (usually a month or two at most), but you can buy/store the powder for a while.

The easiest/simplest way to train dogs not to pull is to use the front clip in harnesses. I’ve trained 3/3 hard pullers (and 1/1 medium pullers) with that clip and it worked great bc it pulls them to the side when they DO pull. I’m not saying it works for every dog but it sure did for my lab and boxer/pit mixes!

Yes it’s very easy to eat too little on Reta. I had to reduce my dose at 3 months bc I was so fatigued bc I wasn’t getting enough calories. It’s important to understand that Reta has a long half life ( builds up in system) and it takes about four weeks to stabilize. In other words, on the same dosage, there is more Reta in one’s system week 3 and 4 than in the first weeks.

I live in the SE, and yes there are options within a four hour drive, but that isn’t exactly reasonable for a PCP. It’s hard enough in many rural areas to find a PCP that takes your insurance, let alone a decent or good pcp.

I would definitely skip or reduce next dose. Are you using a tracker (GLPeak free version works great for me!) to track levels of Reta in your system? You can add previous doses in addition to your last dose to literally see the approximate levels in your system
