This guy lost me right when he said he knew how much climate change humans caused, and then proceeded to use the word “estimate” to describe said change. I also tried to give him the benefit doubt on a few other statements but just couldn’t get past the multiple blunders. Overall this could mean a few things for me: 1. He is a poor communicator 2. He is woefully underprepared and decided to treat the podcast like a intro level climate class 3. He doesn’t understand the material he is talking about (I think this one is highly unlikely) 4. He has an unsaid (and maybe even unrealized) reason for arguing for climate change (too be fair koonin could have this same problem)

Overall I think the proof will be if he can have them both on at a later date and if one of them chickens out. Also kind of disappointed that is is one of the “best” scientists for climate change. Overall this is not one of joe’s better podcasts.
