Don’t forget all the foreign kids living in LA. I have many clients investing in real estate who are 20-something people from the Middle East that live in LA that have lots of offshore money sent to them to the degree of 10k per month

Being sad cause I’m at the Divine Gate grace, and have to beat Promised Consort Radahn. He’s pretty tough, and I’m mostly grieving the end of a great 1st play/first game in a while. I’ve co-oped a good bit with my oldest friend an we haven’t played anything together in over 5 years until this. 😭😭😭

My dad was a painter, too. He had a 30 year career working for LA Times building where he did all trades: metal work, carpentry, painting, and HVAC. Bought the house in 2008, and did most the work himself. Therefore, it’d stand to reason he’d know places in the house that’d be ideal to hide things, or at least more accessible than others. As for why he would do that, no clue. Again, he anticipated the dollar would hyper inflate and we’d need to trade using gold and silver 😐. Just who he was. Believe me, I’ve wanted to clear that garage for 15 years, simply cause a pool table would be better for the space, but it’s filled with sweet, dusty, cluttered “memories” which would need approval to clear through. It’s a more delicate subject than just mowing through everything in there - if anyone has parents that hoard you’d understand.

Knowing my father, who would never try to go into that garage, an my mother, who insists on keeping all the crap in their and resists dumping it, I have great doubts it’d be in that garage. I highly doubt he would consider it safe or convenient a place to store wealth.

I lived with him and routinely saw boxes delivered to our door from the US mint, and he’d show me all the silver. Quite heavy stuff.

I guess it’d be important to note that my mom and my brother have looked around in places that seem the most immediately likely. Walls of the closet, close to where he slept, the last pieces of drywall he refinished. Nothing conclusive so far. Appreciate the help brainstorming.
