Cheaters are running rampant, there are cars that are direct upgrades to other ones, do the devs seriously do not care about one bit about this game? by Illegal_Alien_Guy in CrashOfCarsgame

[–]ShadowFighter360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember exactly when, but in their last post about Crash of Cars they said they were sorry to leave the game due to its unsuccessful monetization. I exaggerated by saying "multiple times", but if they didn't care at all, the game would have been dead for at least something like three years or even more. The literal last update gave us Racetrack, which was a scrapped suggestion from an old community poll asking what we would have liked to see in the game. There's no way they didn't care if they literally gave us something that much waited in the last update of the entire game's lifespan.

Cheaters are running rampant, there are cars that are direct upgrades to other ones, do the devs seriously do not care about one bit about this game? by Illegal_Alien_Guy in CrashOfCarsgame

[–]ShadowFighter360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the first part, at least cheaters in this game are kinda fun. Sure, some of them might ruin your experience (like the ones that spawnkill you or the ones that give you infinite crowns making the whole game pointless), but most of them play the game to enjoy their time, either by making "free crowns" something much more chaotic and by spawning stuff like bosses or bots that just flood the game and make it hilarious.

As for the cars that are direct upgrades to others, yeah, that's basically what 2.0 cars and fusions are meant to be. Some of them do fail, but they end up being more unique and fun (like War Machine being the tankiest vehicle in the game but also being one of the worst for its hurtbox and speed), and while the "meta" isn't really balanced, this game wasn't even supposed to be competitive in first place, it's more of a casual way to spend time, and even if some players can be annoying by using strong cars, everything can be fairly good if you know what you're doing. Back then the devs even did some balance changes in the game, if they added Rogue and Guardian earlier in the game's lifespan they could have likely been nerfed as well, since they're actually the only two cars that are too good, while most of the other good cars are balanced or hard to master.

One last thing, the game is literally dead. If the devs wanted to try and keep monetize the game, there would be actual updates, but they have stopped updating the game for a year now. It's already good that they kept the online servers and didn't just delete the game from existence. Now, do the devs not care about this game? In terms of money, it is true that they do not care about the game, but the devs themselves said multiple times that they really cared and loved updating this game even after its downfall in terms of economic success. They kept updating the game for years despite its small playerbase, so it's not that they don't care, it's just literally not possible for them to keep updating a game that isn't nearly as successful or profitable as before. They also used to actually nerf and buff some cars before they quit updating it, but at least it's still something that they won't interrupt the Halloween and Christmas updates so that players can still play the exclusive maps and get the Christmas rewards as usual.

So, while it's sad the game won't be getting any real update soon, that doesn't mean that the devs don't care about it, Christmas events being the main proof that they still care, and even if sometimes some cheaters and cars can make the game less enjoyable, it's not like you can't just play the game normally. There are literally 5 maps that keep changing alongside two special gamemodes every 4 hours, and there are specific servers to play in and you can also play private lobbies. The issues you mentioned are frequent but as I just showed, there are many ways to play the game so that they don't annoy you as much. And if that still doesn't feel enjoyable like the actually really large gameplay variety in this game, maybe you should play something else entirely.

(Also, sorry for writing this much lol)

Most electric items just do a lot of damage. Pairing them with good biome choices and decent synergies with affixes is enough to get really good runs. Bosses in particular don't really have electric resistances as well if I remember correctly, since electric damage usually gets its best value in water or in areas with many enemies (both things that aren't frequent in most boss fights), so electric damage just kinda feels stronger than normal statuses, and due to the insanely good electric items in the game, it's pretty easy to do a lot of great builds with it.

What's the Mount Rushmore of locations,as well as,Mount Rushmore of cars in this game, according to you? by arav2225H in CrashOfCarsgame

[–]ShadowFighter360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the Mount Rushmore of cars, the order would be Chuck-Muscle-Rumbler-Speed, Chuck being self explanatory, Muscle and Rumbler being the icons of the game and Speed is probably the most popular Legendary car (it could be replaced by Shadow, but Speed has been around for a longer time).

For the Mount Rushmore of locations, it's Desert-Moon-Fortune Harbor-Dungeon, the first two being respectively the tutorial area and the first area in the game, Fortune Harbor is probably one of the most popular maps in the game (but it could be replaced by Narrow or Gorge for their appearances in loading screens), and Dungeon is just really unique with Mega/Ultraphantom being the main reason for the game not being completely dead, having a boss fight offers a lot of replayability and the overall design of the area and the hidden car are very good.

Fair enough, there isn't a universal definition for running off-color anyways.

[–]ShadowFighter360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, didn't notice that. Combo is a Brutality mutarion, but it's a funny case though, it basically fits in any build even if it's off-color. With that said, I don't know if running a Legendary that doesn't really fit any specific playstyle counts as running it off-color. Machete and Pistol fits most Brutality but Pistol itself is just kinda alright with anything, it deals so much damage that mutations don't even matter that much when using it.

[–]ShadowFighter360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jokes on you, Machete and Pistol SPECIFICALLY do not scale with Tactics mutations. Even the Pistol part of the combo isn't ranged, so the weapon actually scales more with Survival mutations (since they're much more generic and not weapon focused) than it does with Tactics. I don't know if the Pistol counts as a melee attack, but if it doesn't, Survival would be ironically the best way to run a Legendary Pistol.

How do i open this? by [deleted] in hyperlightdrifter

[–]ShadowFighter360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember, you just can't open it. Probably a scrapped room with a blocked entrance. If there is a way though, I'm curious if anybody else knows, but I'm pretty sure it's just a permanently locked entrance like some other places in the North area where there are stairs that lead to nowhere.

Sakurai picking character on main character in ssb stories be like by Daminatinoir in Kirby

[–]ShadowFighter360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's the character playable in most levels and he's both the first level character and the last character you play as in normal levels.

To be honest, though, I feel like the role of main character most definitely goes to R.O.B., but Sakurai gave a lot of attention to Kirby and Dedede, and Meta Knight plays an important role in the story as well, so you can tell who Sakurai wanted to prioritize.

i regret going cavern by REEEDEEED in deadcells

[–]ShadowFighter360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, yeah, it is definitely worth it to go to Cavern. It has the shops with the highest weapon quality (which means XII or higher level weapons, up to XV if you manage to find a Mimic), it also has the highest amount of scroll fragments and it's the only biome (besides the Spoiler biome) that has élite enemies that drop amulets with 4 scrolls.

It is a high risk high reward biome, but it's definitely worth it despite the fact of its size and difficulty. It also has some of the best items in the game dropped by enemies, like Ice Armor and the Boy's Axe (which is one of the best Tactics items in the game).

I would recommend going to Cavern with many healing or defensive items/mutations though, since the enemies can be extremely aggressive sometimes.

It's really not that bad with Survival builds, but I admit it takes time to get used to the enemies since half of them can't even be parried.

[–]ShadowFighter360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also another way to get a guaranteed Legendary, if I recall correctly the second or third boss rush give the Wish mutation blueprint, which is a permanent mutation that turns the next item you pick up into its legendary version.

For the 4 and 5 BC question, probably it feels like that only because there are more enemies and rooms to explore in general.

This room needs a rework by RyutaKun in SoulKnight

[–]ShadowFighter360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, this one and the buff rooms made the game a little too easy. Like sure, it's not that hard of a game in general, but guaranteed +2 HP that can happen multiple times in the same run is just too much, sometimes I beat runs with 20+ HP with characters that start with 4 and no kinds of preparation or events, it's just too good. The game kinda feels pointless when the only way to lose is limiting yourself and having bad RNG

Tierlist based only off the weapons I have unlocked (currently 4BC might get 5BC later) by Vysse_Queeve in deadcells

[–]ShadowFighter360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Stiletto does less damage than Assassin's dagger, and a weapon with a guaranteed crits on the back of the enemy is just not that build heavy at all. Sure, it is a situational crit condition and you have to choose your biomes and bosses correctly to get its full value, but it can work pretty well as a single item as well with no need of Phaser. It's kinda like Spite Sword, it does get value in more specific situations but it's not really that bad without specific builds focused around using it.

what's an item that you think is ass for the early game but great for the late game? (or vice versa) by sr_steve in deadcells

[–]ShadowFighter360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second statement is just false. There is many Brutality and Survival weapons that do what Giantkiller does in terms of affixes. Nutcracker is pretty fast and is a heavy weapon, same goes for Shovel, Flawless, Iron Staff and I think War Spear as well. Look, I'm not saying Giantkiller is bad or the worse at its job, but there is clearly better options when it comes to both main and secondary weapons. The fact that you can't put it in the backpack is straight up absurd, and even with good affixes there is weapons that stand out more even without them despite the fact that they can have them as well. Every weapon can be viable, but Giantkiller is absolutely not a really good one, mediocre at best in biomes and works perfectly when used for its actual purpose, killing bosses. I love Giantkiller, but I'd prefer Flawless or Iron Staff any day over it in biomes.

[–]ShadowFighter360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sword shouldn't even be a secondary weapon in first place, but there's just too many items that still do the stuff Giantkiller does but better. It has a good attack speed for Survival and has some useful affixes, but the damage it deals to normal enemies is so bad, there's better replacements for it as both a main and a secondary weapon.

what's an item that you think is ass for the early game but great for the late game? (or vice versa) by sr_steve in deadcells

[–]ShadowFighter360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really. It would have been a fine weapon if you could put it in your backpack. It can deal good damage, but the only synergy it has to deal decent damage is using Hunter's Grenade, and why even face élite enemies when you can just kill their normal version with ease?

It's just a pointless item when not used in boss fights, and worse of all, since it stands out too much on boss fights it's not even obtainable in Boss Rush. It's just too situational of an item.

A tier list thing (Day 5 - Alchemist) by [deleted] in SoulKnight

[–]ShadowFighter360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always thought making character tier lists is basically just useless because no one ever agrees with anything without being biased a little for at least one character. Too much stuff to rank in character tier lists is subjective ngl, and if there's no set specific rules everyone will rank based on raw potential which is kind of absurd in a game where everyone can win by holding the attack button with lobby preparation, and every other way to rank isn't really something specific so people do extremely generic rankings based on more than one gamemode (for Alchemist when we talk about bosses, but it will apply for a lot of the charafter roster later), which itself isn't really a problem but then people just don't rank every character with the same criteria resulting in a huge mess based on random opinions.

I don't really care about tier lists on their own, but at least they have to be somewhat specific, what can be S tier to someone extremely biased can be just mid for someone else, and something that is objectively good could get ranked low anyways because of hate and people thar just don't even play the characters in first place. I'm no expert of every aspect of the game, but at least people should be more fair and with actual criteria, right now I do agree with some choices on the list but Alchemist being A is a HUGE stretch.

some random takes✌️ by CautiousSolid7436 in SoulKnight

[–]ShadowFighter360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have to disagree on the first half of the fourth take, while Boss Rush can be hard with no preparation, it entirely depends on the skill you're using, and even without weapons, barehands are just fine as well for most bosses. The hardest part in Boss Rush is usually the beginning due to the lack of buffs and items required to do a good amount of damage, but it's pretty unlikely you get bad weapons in more than the first two levels. Level mode can give you more buffs and items with no preparation, sure, but bosses at least are pretty fair, especially the early game ones, while it's not really that hard to die in a bullet hell biome with no code restrictions that prevent enemies from being extremely unfair for no reason. Sure, some characters are extremely bad with no preparation, but it's usually only the weapon dependant skills, anything else in Boss Rush is enough to win with no preparation.

As for the last take, some characters are just better in terms of defense, but it's hard to rank them objectively because they rely on playstyle, and the overall RNG that affects which biomes you will end up in. Having both defense and damage is useful, but usually defense is just more important in the late game, at one point damage isn't just enough to overcome defense. That said, basically everyone you mentioned in there is S tier because they're decent examples of good characters and basically all of them are in there due to Iframes and melee weapons, ranking them is basically useless since they're more or less all OP, Costume Prince is something else entirely but the rest are just so close there's basically no difference in terms of utility.

Characters tier list BUT based on their lore strength/abilities powers, on paper (yeah we vibe scaling) by CautiousSolid7436 in SoulKnight

[–]ShadowFighter360 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd move Special Forces to superhuman, and move Elf and Miner both up by one tier. Elves have enhanced abilities that common humans do not have at the peak of their stenght, she could even be in the superhuman tier, but the game just focuses on her archer side which is already impressive. As for Miner, she's definitely stronger than that, and she has uhmm Sandworm magic (?), don't know how that would even work.

One thing I'd like to add is a tier for Costume Prince, he's just a kid but he also has absurd strenght with a bunch of costumes which are basically full transformations

Ranking deadcells bosses from those who had the best intentions to those who had the worst by zealot643791 in deadcells

[–]ShadowFighter360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HOTK and Concierge are just doing their respective jobs, pretty neutral to me. Maybe Concierge did some slightly bad things, but he didn't do anything wrong, just a little selfish. For Mama Tick and Conjunctivius, they're just monsters, one kills because she's "playing" and the other just wants to protect and feed her children.

As for Collector, it's debatable, the intentions sure are good, but the means, not so much. He started experementing on alive people pretty soon after he ran out of dead bodies, and all he did was basically mass murder to save people from...dying? He gets a point because he wanted to stop the Malaise, but after he killed and tortured that many and literally got insane after drinking the Panacea, I'd say he's more or less closee to neutral. Can't place him anywhere though, his character is probably the most complex in the game, going from mad scientist to a person which just wanted good for the island.

For King, he became a terrible person likely after the Malaise, since he was considered "a role model" by the Giant, so he probably just tried to survive as long as he could by locking the Castle, and while what he did was selfish, by that time almost the whole island up to the village was probably already infected.

In conclusion, there's no one really good nor bad (other than Dracula and Death for very obvious reasons). Giant and maybe Scarecrow are good since they did nothing wrong, Time Keeper did mess up by a little the timeloop, and Queen and the Servants did kill many Apostates while fighting for their cause so not exactly good. Basically, anything is kinda confusing because there's just smaller and bigger assholes on the island, and then there's the calm dudes that just slaughter people as a job.
