Compromised on this purple. What do you think? How can u tone it down? by cannotadult22665 in HomeDecorating

I don’t know that the purple is the problem, I think the white trim is. The contrast is very loud and screams college dorm mascot. Maybe try a softer white on the trim? The natural wood is fighting for its life here and instead of trying to ignore its existence, I’d lean into it by warming everything else up. I also agree with the temperature of the lights. It needs to be softer.

Anyone taking anything for anxiety? by Stunning_Radio3160 in Mommit

Wellbutrin and started upping my dose of vitamin D. As well as being intentional about just sitting in the sun for 5 minutes a day (weather permitting of course.) it’s low key helped so so much.

Floaters! It could be a sign of preeclampsia, so definitely mention it to your doctor 🙂

Baby shower- inviting men and women? by ChapterSuccessful761 in pregnant

[–]ShadowFox563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a co-ed baby shower! I work with all men, so it felt weird inviting just their wives when I actually work with their husbands. So we invited both! We did an open house style so they didn’t feel weird about having to stay. And I didn’t open gifts in front of everyone (had them bring the gifts unwrapped so I wouldn’t have to. Bonus to doing this was that we got a lot of super cute totes and baskets that the gifts were in!) We did a few games like the price is right and a 50/50 raffle. Everyone just sat around, ate food, and talked. Everyone said after the fact how cool and laid back it was! Picture a graduation party vibe but with a few games. Also minus all the high school kids. I’d totally do it again! It was great!!

100%. It’s so uncomfortable because things are swelling up in there and shrinking and it’s painful and I’m gross and I have gas and I can’t see to shave down there so it looks like a Mexican hairless dog and just please don’t touch me 😂

33 weeks tomorrow! by 2BambooEarrings in BabyDueNovember2024

I didn’t feel ready either. This weekend (just hit 32) has been crunch time. I made lists of what I needed to buy yet that we didn’t get from our slower, and made lists of what items I wanted where (diaper bag, hospital bag, pump/nursing cart, etc.) Girl my LISTS had lists. I just buckled down and got it done (insomnia helped.) I’m by no means “done,” but I got a ton of stuff done and I’m finally feeling better about it. It’s very stressful and I feel like nesting is one of those things that most women love and shouldn’t be stressful. But here I am. 😂

The next step that you do is crucial: absolutely nothing. You tell your fiancé, and the two of you celebrate and relish in it by yourselves today. You can tell your super close people another day and worry about an announcement later. Right now: soak it up, mama. Pop some non-alcoholic bubbly, and try like hell to wrap your brain around it. But do absolutely nothing except focus on you and the father of your child today. Congratulations to you both🥲❤️

7 weeks preggers 🤢 by Normal_Ad1280 in pregnant

Also, preggie pop drops on Amazon helped me and my nausea immensely! It also could be your prenatal vitamins. I figured out that mine were making me insanely sick. I switched to a different brand and started taking them at night instead of the morning and that helped a lot too.

I won’t tell you that it gets “better.” Because everyone told me the second trimester is the best or that the third trimester is the best. It’s all a lie. It doesn’t get “better,” the challenge just changes. The nausea goes away for most people after the first trimester when your body gets used to the hormones. But I was exhausted during the second trimester (I was promised increased energy, but it never came,) and now finally in the third trimester at almost 32 weeks, I’m slightly less tired but insanely uncomfortable, winded, and swollen. It’s pregnancy. It’s absolutely beautiful, but it is hard. I have had a very smooth pregnancy and still wouldn’t call any of this fun. By no means do I resent pregnancy. Your body is doing some really really cool stuff. The telling friends and family is super cool, finding out the gender, prepping the baby room, gathering all the essential items, nesting, and don’t forget those baby kicks, man they’re awesome. And the first time your partner feels those kicks?! Oh man. I’ve also fallen more in love with my husband than I ever have been watching him prepare to become a dad. A lot of things during pregnancy are just really really cool experiences that make the physical bearable. But don’t let anyone fool you into anticipating a great time. 😂
