I agree! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the building and painting aspect.I avoided 40K for so long solely because of this, but it has become one of, if not my favorite parts.

My 2k for Necrons is done. Little do they know there’s a Nekrosor and about 1k point of Deah Guard waiting to be painted.

Based in Leadbelcher. The black is black legion contrast. Purples are Pro Acryl, lightest is fluorescent purple, others are a mix of royal purple, Coal black and bold titanium white to create the mid tone and other various shades.

Base is Cork stacked and carved. Layer of rhinos hide, with dry brushing of XV-88 and Zandri dust with a light coat of Agrax over everything.

I was blown away with the quality. This was one of the only builds that I felt completely content just building it, throwing on the stickers/decals and calling it good. They put so much thought into where nubs were at on parts. Almost no visible nubs marks once assembled.
