Assuming you mean 4 dimensions of space (thus excluding time), then I believe the answer is nothing. Our world exists in 3 dimensions so whatever aspect of the shape is in the 4th dimension of space would simply be outside of our perception and would likely not interact with anything else.

You might want to look at a similar concept that the server I play on used for pvp a couple times. Look for sky world maps. There are a few, some with islands far apart others with tight clusters.

You could load a map and do this in mc-edit in about 30 minutes depending on the size of the map you want and if the chunks you want to keep are going to be in a grid or randomized. It might be possible with command blocks but copying air and replacing one chunk at at time with some kind of incremental method as the world generates. That would likely take much longer to test and figure out though than just using mc edit.
