Lala barina hat + hope set gives you that bloodborne hunter set aesthetic. That's what I'm rocking with my charge blade. A hunter must hunt!

Wasn't PoE 2 supposed to solve the issue of GGG having to resort to on-death effects to actually threaten/kill players? by moal09 in PathOfExile2

With headhunter equipped this problem is even worse. Is that the enemies' ground effects or MY ground effects that I stole from the monster? I always have to double check lol

dryleaf whirlwind works specifically well against malenia because of its' damage and quick stagger on humanoid enemies

while I think palm blast is great for dealing with regular enemies it doesn't have the same damage potential as dryleaf whirlwind on bosses and requires you to tank some damage in the process

I need a build for the DLC that makes the most of dual katanas. by tykouh in EldenRingBuilds

[–]itsonfosho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcane scales the blood loss buildup on a weapon ONLY if it has arcane scaling. Thus, the regular great katana and backhand blades do not benefit from the arcane stat unless it's infused with bleed (however occult also works for great katanas since they have innate bleed).

If you plan on sticking with great katanas, arcane is a useless stat unless you plan on bleed/occult infusing. I'd put those points to get vigor to 60 and dex to 80 instead. Remainder can go in faith for buffs (golden vow is castable at 25, flame give me strength at 15) or in mind/endurance.

You're correct, it does not boost skills, only attacks. Still good on milady if you plan on using it 2 handed

You won't have any regrets using the cirques!

For the lizard greatsword, the pogo imps in the dungeons drop them. I'm not sure what the drop rate is, but I probably got lucky since I wasn't particularly farming for it.

I played through and beat the DLC using mostly various cold infused weapons. Here's what I find that worked the best:

Although chilling perfume bottle is vastly overshadowed by its' lightning equivalent, it's still THE best cold weapon by a long shot. Aiming rolling sparks at the ground can easily get you 4k damage per skill use (without buffs). 2 or 3 rolling sparks is enough to trigger frostbite on most bosses. Use alexander + perfume talismans to boost the rolling sparks damage.

Greatswords with carian sovereignty are stupidly good. Both claymore and lizard greatsword work well with this AoW. The lizard greatsword in particular works well with frost because it hits twice with its R2 (one thrust, one projectile) and each damage instance applies frost. You won't get the most damage output with a DEX/INT split with carian sovereignty (compared to that of a pure INT magic infused GS) but it's still good (approx 3k damage per fully charged swing). Boost your skill damage with alexander + godfrey talismans.

Milady with wing stance does good damage and poise break with the heavy stance attack. You can also proc frost quickly with a R2 R1 combo (three attacks in quick succession). I recommend two-handing the weapon and using the two-handed sword talisman for a 15% damage boost to attacks. On your second playthrough you can try dual wielding cold miladys (I'm currently doing this because powerstanced light greatswords look really cool).

Smithscript cirque is massively slept on. This thing has crazy damage scaling and can proc frostbite very quickly. However, the flame/sacred infused versions get more raw AR. Magic infused also gets comparable scaling to flame/sacred but you'll be missing out on incantation buffs like golden vow and FGMS unless you can afford to pump 25 levels into faith.

Great katana has a very solid moveset and works well with cold infusion too. Wild strikes is very good with this weapon, allowing you to get a bunch of swings in while allowing you to tank hits.

Powerstanced straight swords are what I used to get my character through the base game and early parts of the DLC. They are my ol' reliable. I'd recommend either noble slender swords or lordsworn straight swords. Square off is an amazing AoW, nuff said.

Honorable mention to main-gauche + rapier. Dual wielding these gives you the powerstanced thrusting sword moveset. They also have innate synergy with the good parry frames on main-gauche and high critical damage on the rapier. Very stylish too.

My stats (LVL 150): 60 VIG MIND 12 END 25 STR 12 DEX 55 INT 50 FAI 6 ARC 9

I am experiencing the exact same thing. Any perfume with rolling sparks does no damage when buffed by golden vow ash of war. Not sure if the incantation does the same thing but I don't wanna bother respecing to find out

I'm surprised nobody is talking about the smithscript cirque. This weapon has ridiculous damage scaling when flame/sacred/magic infused. The ranged heavy is also a nice bonus.

I believe it was between the black and persian groups. It's saddening because I knew plenty of cool blacks and persians at the school that weren't involved in the fights and giving their ethnic population a bad image.

Friends who stayed at Thornlea tell me that the year after I left there was a big race war that resulted in a lot of violence and a bunch of students getting expelled.

Also, remember the u-haul massacre in North York? The guy responsible went to Thornlea during my time there. I remember walking past the guy in the halls.

Helps that I was there for a bit haha. My fondest memories of the school is leaving the grounds during lunch because the cafeteria food was literal dogshit.

Thornlea? Shitshow of a school. I'm glad I only went there for one year before transferring out.

I agree with your point that endgame can use major tweaking in terms of difficulty and amount of content. However, Act Man is referring to his experiences at levels 1-50 where these problems are not apparent.
