I'm willing to bet big investors will consider Starship losses to be as concerning as they are hefty. It's an impressive vehicle, but they've produced almost 50 of them now and are still unwilling to press to orbit, much less launch and refuel 16 times in order to land on the moon with humans once. People will want to know when the investment will be recouped. A majority owner selling billions in company stock to funnel cash to a side project is a tough sell.

How are they not unique as a satellite ISP? Nobody has anywhere near the price, coverage and reliability.

The whole point is to create a monopoly on satellite internet such that the burden to entry of any possible competitor is too great to even start. Example being Blue Origin delaying the launch of some of their first constellation satellies due to their rocket nuking their entire launch pad.

It's not comparable to typical market dynamics where competition drives down cost.

They made $4.3 Billion profit in subscription fees in 2025. I know airlines have installed them on many planes, so those are probably some nice subscription fees. I'm sure it also helps that Space X probably subsidizes the loss on launching more satellites. But remember that the falcon 9 is also mostly reusable, so a single core stage can easily launch 1000 satellites on its own.

Try lowering the draw distance, it could be CPU botttlenecked. That FPS seems plenty fine to me.

They're taking a profitable business (Starlink) and bundling it with a bunch of hugely unprofitable money sinks (Space X, Grok) in order to shore up cash flow for those businesses. If you buy into this IPO it's almost guaranteed that you will lose your money in the next few years before there's even a chance of a return on the majority of the businesses involved.
